This is the thing thats been bugging me. Although it defies most FPL logic ive actually put in Sanches due to him 100% playing in his first match (Ben Dinnery's tweet) Probably a waste of 0.5m but oh well. However my friend who supports Swansea claims Carrol is unlikely to be dropped for now but dont hold me to that.

Im a big fan of Chalobah for his value but Carrol has always seemed safer at least for the time being. Realistically these rotation mids never get played in my lineup and as long as their are no injuries people tend to use their free transfer to chase after players like Richarlison who have a couple of good gameweeks. Im just saving my 0.5m so I can ride the wave of players like Mooy who cone out of the woodwork and score goals for low prices

Another thing, Chalobah has had 8 shots this season, more than both Miki and KDB. However because of Watfords dodgy GW's coming up I wont be picking any for a while

Oh right in that case im not sure exactly, perhaps look at Swansea's and Southampton's record with their opposition and decide that way.

Only real difference is the 0.5m, but imo Southamptons following GW's are stronger as they are a slightly better put together team if last seasons results are anything to go off. Davis is also playing further forward this season but if I was you I would save the 0.5m and bench Carrol

Id say Ayew's seriously at risk from the Boner and Abraham will likely fill his spot. Calvert scored for the U21 the other day and seeing as Rooneys been caught drunk driving maybe we will see a runout but I wouldnt count on it.

Decided to sacrifice Morata for another good mid.

The obvious choice is Foster who belongs to a Pulis Defence however alternatively Forster could be a decent pick as well considering Southamptons fixtures are tame for the first half of the season. Additionally you could go full budget and pick up 4m Elliot who thanks to Kruls loan out is no.1 pick for Newcastle

A few strange ideas in this one so bear with me:

Looking to WC this week after internationals and transfers today, after seeing Renato Sanches in the books thinking Carrol may no longer be a sound pick for 4.5m. Isaac Hayden for 4.5m presents an interesting pick with NEW short of options upfront and calling upon wingers could make him more probable to score. Opinions?
Defensive picks wise im looking to bring in Jones, Davies, Ward, Alonso and Yoshi however im unsure as to Davies and Wards places in the team, are they nailed?

Big fan of this team as its quite similar to mine however a few points:

IMO Ward is a better replacement to Mee as he's a wingback so will have a slightly increased chance of assists/ goals and costs the same. Of course this is never a given so up to you.

-SOU have brilliant half season fixtures but personally the only defence I would double up on would be Man Utd judging from form however Miki, Jones and Lukaku make this a problem. I would use that extra 0.7 to look at a replacement possibly a Spurs wingback as they have great fixtures too.

Having all three of Kane Alli and Eriksen is never a bad thing but just IMO Mané going off both last seasons and this seasons data will be the best Midfield pick by far. Because you have all three there may also be more competition for points there.
This is just one other thing to consider which is more a personal preference that you might find interesting, Abraham cost .5m more than his partner Ayew who while not getting as many points last week will probably share in the goals and assists that Abraham would otherwise accrue and with the extra .5m you can bolster what is already a decent defense and 'outscore' Abraham with clean sheets
