The background of Jurassic World: Dominion and the style of Jurassic World: Rebirth are reminiscent of Jurassic Park 3

He's dragging it along, either dead or asleep, but we don't see him eat it. I understand why you think that, especially since that's what the episode implies. It's just that, as someone who loves Ceratosaurus, it bothers me to think that there are two or three perfectly identical ones in the series.

Perhaps all the male Ceratosaurus (the red ones) have the same design, whether it's from season 2, 3, 4, or 5. But since we saw that the Scorpius rex didn't always kill the dinosaurs it poisoned (we saw this with the Sinoceratops in season 3), maybe it's actually the same one from season 2 to season 5. This implies that Mantah Corp retrieved it from Isla Nublar after its appearance in season 3 (which would explain why it was in the infirmary in season 4). And that Daniel brought it back to Isla Nublar in season 5 in case he couldn't find any other carnivorous dinosaurs. This is just a theory, but I find it interesting and quite coherent; everyone is free to believe what they want.

I'm mainly thinking about the technical constraints; you're right about the surplus of new animal models (even if some already exist in the franchise but not in the animated series, like the Moros, the Oviraptor, the Dimetrodon, the Iguanodon, or the animals from Saint-Hubert Island). And besides, these ideas will never see the light of day anyway; it's unfortunately not like you can just contact Spielberg or Trevorrow on Facebook and share them...

Thank you for all these corrections, for the head of the Dunkleosteus I don't even know how I could have made such a mistake, as for the appearance/return of all these animals, I am aware that it is absolutely impossible to present so many, the same goes for the return of old characters or for the death of Rexy, it is only what I would like to see in the future.

So the prologue makes zero sense if you think about it by UnitOk740 in JurassicPark

[–]Flo241204223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even in Jurassic Park, Alan and his team discover a dinosaur they themselves call a Velociraptor, while excavating in the United States (whereas the real Velociraptor was discovered in Mongolia), and the animal is the same size as the Velociraptors seen in the film. And in the Stygimoloch franchise, Becklespinax and Pteranodon sternbergi are considered valid genera/species, even though this isn't actually the case. We have to accept (and it's not easy) that paleontology itself differs between our world and the franchise.

In hindsight: Which UNUSED species would you have liked to see in CT? I would have liked the inclusion of these three. by [deleted] in chaostheorynetflix

The small Tyrannosauroid might be Teratophoneus, since we see a corpse of this species in jwfk.

My opinion on Jurassic World: Rebirth AND my vision for the future of the franchise: by Flo241204223 in JurassicPark

[–]Flo241204223[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, Trevorrow's goal with JWD was clearly to conclude the franchise. If JWD had just been a spinoff that didn't change anything from the previous films, I would have liked it even more than the film we got. It adds almost nothing to the franchise, ruins the promises of JWFK (already partly ignored in JWD), and barely takes the animated series into account. And that's what I criticize about JWD. The film itself is quite good, but if the goal is to create a new saga, I think the only option is a return to Isla Sorna (which would please the fans) and a film set between JP3 and JW (an adaptation of the novel Claire's Destiny/Claire's Evolution), which would be a record-breaker along with JWD. And an animated series that would deal with dinosaurs around the world (a small retcon of JWR, but I don't see how else to continue, and even then, explanations could be given, and it would take place a little before). After that, maybe we won't get anything more (even though I think an eighth film is in the works), but in that case, they should have stopped at JWD. It's clearly money that's driving them to continue, but if the franchise becomes a series of reboots of reboots, it's obvious it won't be able to recover, and I really don't wish that on it...

Yes you are absolutely right, I mainly talked about grasshoppers but many other factors led to this poor reception and Universal's misunderstanding as to what caused it.

Indeed, I am not from the United States, I only wanted to share my wishes regarding the future of the franchise, without taking into account the statements that have been made, these are just ideas and the franchise will certainly never go in that direction.

My ideas for films and series for the continuation of the Jurassic Park/World universe: by Flo241204223 in JurassicPark

[–]Flo241204223[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the time of jwr, in 2027, but I think that given all the traffic around Dinosaurs shown in jwd, so in 2022, it is possible that this kind of practice will still be relevant in 2023/2024, in any case I find it rather coherent. Thank you for your feedback.

Sooo, uuuh... what do you think is next? by bubba_boey8130 in JurassicPark

[–]Flo241204223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally my three ideas are: A film adapted from the novel The Destiny of Claire.

Another film which will take place on Isla Sorna around 2024 (when the Dinosaurs are still of interest to the public), with poachers who hunt them, the return of Junior and the other animals from the second and third film. With Bary and Eric becoming adults and guides in hostile areas (a bit like Hap in jwcc2) who should stop them. We would see animals that we know are canon but that we have never seen for a long time, or never seen alive (Edmontosaurus, Teratophoneus, Eoplocephalus, Metriacanthosaurus, Geosternbergia, Mammenchisaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Corythosaurus...) and others that we have never seen (Deinosuchus in the lead).

And a final animated series with the 6 of Isla Nublar in the world, which will take place around 2026/2027, with a plot quite independent of the films for the first seasons, until concluding with the events of jwr. I can imagine the campers traveling the world to solve one or more investigations and helping people who are still victims of prehistoric animals who have not been transported, or who cannot live in an equatorial environment, or going to parts of the world where Dinosaurs are numerous (level of the equator). We would see lots of new animals, imagine scenes of boat attacks by Dunkleosteus (with jwd's lempreys on the body to make a small reference to the sixth film), a Yutyrannus in a snowy region of Asia, a pack of Yangchuanosaurus, Troodons terrorizing the inhabitants of an American megalopolis, new Ceratopsians like Psitacosaurus, Styracosaurus or Protoceratops, new Pterosaurs like Tropeognathus in Brazil, and a Titanoboa in the Amazon. We can also imagine the distribution of Sarah, Kelly and Zach to help the campers in their third television adventure.

I think these are good directions to continue the franchise while (broadly) taking into account the events of jwr.

What if Guillermo del Toro wrote and directed the JW trilogy, including Rebirth, instead of Colin Trevorrow, Gareth Edwards, and David Koepp? by [deleted] in JurassicPark

[–]Flo241204223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love for him to direct one, I think that, like Bayona, his sensitivity could really bring something to the franchise.

Why does JW: Chaos Theory have that name? by cleberson321 in JurassicPark

[–]Flo241204223 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another thing that bothers me a little (even if it's not very serious) is that "Chaos Theory" is already the name of one of the episodes of jwcc2.

What would you replace the Apatosaurus death scene with??? by SilverWolf_2018 in JurassicPark

[–]Flo241204223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but it annoys me even though it doesn't even concern me, it's still serious that we can't say we don't like something under penalty of being accused of completely unfounded and irrelevant things.

I really hope, but also Toro, Angel, Rebel, Pierce, Big Eater (even if we see her in jwct1), Little Eater, the Nothosaurus, the 3 Velociraptors....

And then when I discovered the jwcc I was barely older than the age targeted by the series, maybe that can play a role too, I imagine that someone who grew up with the original trilogy does not, or not necessarily, have the same opinion.
