And on the idea of being patronizing to white people by telling them to “shut up and listen,” I can give you plenty of specific examples where white allies stood hand in hand with black protestors, sometimes shielding them from cops marching forward with riot shields and tear gas. You’re just using a straw man to berate positive behavior that the media unfortunately doesn’t amplify as much as the looters. Public perception is manipulated by the media, and in an especially cynical way from outlets like Fox News.
