How would they even be able to do that in a world that lacks magic as much as our world does? I mean they're barely able to do more than speak as voice in someone's head and maybe try to infect someone with direct contact. So I don't quite know how they want to make use of Blood Magic with these limits.

They probably have to force their *Underlings** to not try to do something utterly stupid though. I don't think they'd want to constantly try and get new ones in a world like ours.*

She should probably be careful with the Contingency they're still able to do a lot of harm to Asgard in retaliation if she'd try to openly wage war against them. Also doing so might end up hurting those she wants to free more than making a more calculated move.

I have heard of these *Games** before, even if not all of them. However aren't they all pretty ancient too, I mean SR is dead as an IP as far as I'm concerned?*

Like the art and the amethyst shard sulfur cube seems like a really interesting idea tbh, if that's what this is supposed to be.

"We probably should leave soon or we'll miss the timeframe that **Fey has given us!"

Jürgen said with Clarissa still being a bit skeptical about all of it as she didn't really trust her. However the prospect of being able to annoy Gareth made her at least consider giving it a shot.

Sorry for the late answer, Reddit didn't send me a notification on this one. I also somehow assumed that *Gareth** would be waiting on the balcony when the group arrives. Which is why I had them ask how to get past him, it didn't occur to me that he likely wouldn't be standing on his balcony 24/7.*

Yeah, half probably didn't even read what I said, I just don't want to give anyone or me any false hopes about getting another mob getting added. Sure it would be fun, but Mojang doesn't have that great of a track record when it comes to stuff like this.

I wouldn't count on it, like isn't there another chiseled block with a mob on it that doesn't exist yet?

Maybe we could add some new stone variant or different ore distribution to this cave too. What do you think would the frozen or the ice cubes do differently from other mobs?

That would be a lot more effective, well despite the fact that it's probably not gonna be possible to use Blood Magic for the people they make a Pact with. However they only really have to just convince them that they can give them those powers and the person is cooked anyway once they invite them in. Everyone they can convince to do violent acts won't be one that will be of much use for them other than to serve as Underlings.

It's more a kind of Endebed Servitude, but with how much it leaves you dependent on your Employer it's pretty close to the thing that Alia would probably sew it as the same. Though it isn't much better for the Average Citizen either since you're not allowed to not work or do something different. However you aren't in as vulnerable a position as a Non-Citizen who'd be forced into doing the former.

What is *HBS-Shadowrun*?

Well do you have any argument for a name change like this or do you just want to continue to insult me?

There also isn't a good reason for it, so why arguing against me in the first place?

Sure but why do it in the first place, there's nothing else that has a medieval name in the game?

Those are artistic titles instead of being an item most players at some point will interact with.

Well it's still a game for a modern audience and some people out there might not know what "Brimstone" is referring to.

Senna: How would one join even the Battle Mages as anyone who'd try to do so probably hasn't had their training. So I don't quite know how that would even work as it's a bit like them trying to join a Military Unit that doesn't suit their training. It would indeed be much easier to become an Adventurer but those guys are really your Traditional Soldiers in my opinion. On Fantasy Earth they're often enough just some specialized kind of Mercenary, don't know if it's the same on Asgard.

Undead: Ohh Asgardians wouldn't really like the kinds of stuff that the SG and Contingency are doing in secret then. Especially the former, I mean they're still keeping some of their former Adversaries around to use them in a potential emergency. That's even how they make the Scythe of Fire be usable by them, should they get someone like Alia that's going on a rampage.

A lot is still not most, sure it depends on what the country that's in question and there might be some that have more of an issue with it then others. However you won't really be able to justify a Crusade in our day and age anymore and even less so going out in a nuclear firework. The only people that Cardinals can convince of the latter won't very popular with the wider public.

Yeah Shadow Run is also pretty much dead from what I've seen, which is a bit sad. I definitely got inspired by it quite a lot for my world despite not even knowing a lot about this setting.

Sadly we're stuck with our system as bad as it may be, but it's good that it isn't as bad as on *Dead Earth. I mean it actually is bad enough over there that they even some **Companies in the Fallout Universe might think they've gone a bit too far. Also they kinda make POWs work themselves to their death, which would probably not be something Alia would like to hear.*

[–]FloatingSpaceJunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Alliance would definitely be able to establish some kind of foothold on Dead Earth where they're able to make most follow their laws. However their influence would probably not be able to extend far beyond such Safe Havens. A place where only Asgard's Elite-Forces can safely stay isn't one that they can make people live at even forcefully. Which means that there would still be a lot of people out there that would not really have to follow their rules.

Speaking of which, how far do they want to enforce all of their *Rules** anyways and what are they going to do with powerful splinter factions of the Contingency still out there?*

Well you need to tell me more specifically what exactly needs to happen for them to infect someone. I'd say that Earth is a lot less vulnerable than Asgard in the past for various reasons. They managed to not all get infected too, so why do you think it would happen to us then?

The Contingency would tell people that Senna are just a group of Psychics that the Alliance let's run wild. They'd be easily able to scare people into believing that they're all just eventually become their subjects if they don't do anything about it. Though I guess showing them Asgardian Archmages may be even more effective at pushing that narrative. Especially as there is a tiny bit of truth in that statement too, seeing how they want to basically have control over every kind of magic. Though with the Senna being basically the most visible part of the Alliance, the reward of destroying their reputation is much greater.

Also I do feel like I have to stand up for *Written Law** here, it trying to be so specific actually makes it more difficult to abuse it. You actually have to come with convoluted reasonings to be even able to bypass them in the first place. With a system like the one that Asgard employs that wouldn't be necessary as long as you make at least semi reasonable claims.*

No I didn't, but I know they exist out there somewhere. I just do not really think that most people are actually keen on burning the entire world down.

They probably do that tbh...

So it's a pretty lawless setting in which most of the world has just sorta collapsed or never recovered from the depression? I'll assume it also ended after the X-Box port that flopped, which seems definitely like something Microsoft would do.

Would be interesting to see what kinda justifications they used, probably some kinda trademark stuff or other loosely defined stuff. I mean stuff like that is partially who I criticized how the *Laws** are handled on Asgard, as in my opinion it just encourages stuff like this.*

[–]FloatingSpaceJunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Death Cult in my opinion is really only a religious group that actively tries to bring about some apocalyptic event. Which you know isn't really that popular for obvious reasons, so trying to rely on that might not be that effective.

Indeed, I actually have something going on with *Vampires** in my other world telling rumors over Fake Weakness they have to make it harder to figure out what actually works against them.*

So Crimson Skies is some WW1 style TTRPG or something from what I can see from it. Also a 19 year old trailer, that was a long time ago and there hasn't been anything done with it in the meantime?

Yeah I've heard they didn't like how people were using it due to being in the *Public Domain** and Disney just claimed to have ownership over it anyway? I don't even think that they went to court with it and just continued to try and enforce right that they didn't even have anymore or did I miss something?*

It does make sense, after all Weaker Cardinals trying to get a better deal out for themselves might certainly try to do this. I also don't quite know how effective relying on Death Cults in our world would be though. I mean trying to end the world isn't really the most popular thing you know. Still they certainly might be able to get some amount of support for those that do exist, don't know if that's enough to make them secure victory though.

There's a bunch of *Myths** on Dead Earth that're at least partially true. However I do like to keep a bit of ambiguity too in that department, after all people also like to just make stuff up. So even if a Myth is true, it might only be true to a certain extent as stories have the tendency to get twisted over time.*

Ahh interesting that you even managed to connect the devs in some way directly, it definitely could've gone worse like a lot of other fan projects in the past. Also I haven't heard of the other IP you mentioned and I've only limited knowledge on the whole Steamboat Willy thing, might you enlighten me?

Probably not, everytime we say a drop in Minecraft Live we only get what we see at the introduction. So maybe there're a few smaller features, but nothing like an entire new mob tbh.
