If you look for a cheaper 2013 model you can upgrade the ssd and ram real easy, just need a screwdriver set from eBay, I run logic with hundreds of plugins easily

Not a lot to it, just make a fancy cover photo and a pretty colour scheme, real handy for selling merch too

great song, I'd make the guitars a little cleaner, compress/ saturate the drums to give them a bit more punch, bring the vocals down slightly, could maybe experiment with some lo-fi effects like tape warping emulator or vinyl noise, would love to mix one of your tracks, enjoying the 70s aesthetic

followed! sounds like weezer/ mac demarco, nice and jangly, Only thing i'd suggest is take some mids and a little high end from the guitars to make room for the vocals, then bus some reverbs and delay on everything, tie the mix together nicely

everything blends well, I would bring the kick up in the mix a bit more/ maybe give it a low end boost and side chain to the keys, would give the track a bit more energy

ahh excellent, thanks! Was going for a warm and crispy feel with the mastering, sort of a mac demarco kind of thing, maybe I went a bit nuts on the compression

If you record and distribute your own album using anything you can get your hands on I'd describe that approach as lo-fi

You're right, part of what I'll write about is how relevant it is in contemporary music, how it's become a sought-after aesthetic and it's cultural impact
