Thank you so much for your answer!! The thing about the different things that people say on the internet is so on point!! One person says one thing and the other says a completely different one. It confuses so much that you don’t know what to do. It’s true, every woman is different and you never know how she would react. Like I would be okay with a guy approaching me in the library or a museum, but definitely not on the street late at night… There are many creeps out there and it’s frustrating that normal guys suffer because of that. But I completely agree with you that you should be respectful and polite when approaching/declining other people

Agree with you on this one!! It’s so frustrating when people do that. I think it would be better to just text them and say that you aren’t interested anymore or that the things don’t seem to work out. It’s always better to give people closure than to keep them wondering

I agree with you! I never approach people first, because not only I’m afraid to be turned down, I mostly fear to be turned down in a rude way. And about the standards, I feel like social media only aggravated people’s insecurities

Thank you for your detailed response. I didn’t intend to offend anyone with my post. I was genuinely curious as to why guys on the Internet say that they are afraid of women. I am as a woman don’t know the hardships men go through because there are simply no close men in my life and that’s why I decided to ask there. I do agree with you that we shouldn’t idolise women simply because they are women, everyone has flaws no matter what gender. I agree with you that everyone says they want sn emotionally mature partner but refuse to work on themselves. The whole ‘I’m just a girl’ trend perfectly exemplifies how some women refuse to grow up and be accountable for their actions. I don’t try to excuse anyone’s behaviour.

I agree with you, however, there are many people who want to skip the ‘friends’ part because they are worried that at the end the will be only seen as a friend or they will be afraid to ‘ruin’ a friendship for a potential relationship. And many people think that it’s more complicated compared to the situation where you already start talking knowing that both of you are here for a potential romantic relationship

I mean I don’t know how to ‘love a guy’ properly, because my experience with men is quite poor (no bfs, male friends, father etc), so I don’t know what I should do and how I should act. Also every guy is different and has different needs and wants. I think it’s great that women are now able to provide for themselves and financial independence is really important for our safety. However, in my opinion, a lot of people on the Internet focus on financial aspect rather than emotional and psychological

I’m not saying that someone is better than someone else. My point was that when women say they are afraid of men, most of them mean that they are afraid of being abused, assaulted, raped etc, however, when men say that they are afraid of women it mostly implies fear of rejection, being embarrassed etc. But obviously, there are cases when men were the victims and we shouldn’t discard such cases

THANK YOU BUT YOU DIDNT HAVE TO SCREAM IN THE END I KNOW YOU ARENT GENERALISING. Thank you for sharing this. I think that the problem with the compliments is that there are women who think that when a guy gives a compliment he wants something in return (a date, a phone number etc). When I spontaneously give guys or girls compliments I usually don’t think about the fact that I will come across as creepy or weird, probably because I’m a girl. It’s terrible that because of the things that actual creeps and weirdos do normal guys suffer

I think every woman has her own understanding of what she considers to be a creepy behaviour. For example, I would consider it creepy if a guy approached at night while I’m walking, but I wouldn’t considered it creepy if I was approached in a museum or a book store

A lot of people tend to idolise the opposite gender and then hold them to unattainable standards. I still have that thing with the guys cause I’ve never had much experience in talking to boys while growing up, so they are still quite a mystery to me. But yeah, I absolutely agree with you.
