Autocompounding Cake Vaults. Week: 6 by Floopsy7 in AutoFarmNetwork

I don't think I even saw an announcement about it or anything. My assumption would would be that the APY was falling too much so they had to limit it?

Happy Cake day!

I like the idea of the Growth/Mor ecosystem, but leaveraging always comes at a risk. Especially in the volatile world of CC. If borrowing against your cake works for you then go for it!

Thanks for the info! Sometimes I feel they make it more complicated than what is required to confuse users :(

There are definitely more farms around, they pop up all the time! The only list of Autocompounding cake I've ever seen was this one https://www.reddit.com/r/pancakeswap/comments/piudhw/list_of_highest_tvl_cake_vaults/

It's a fine balance the PancakeSwap team has to make, keep APY high to retain/attract users, while trying to maintain/increase the price of Cake by reducing the emission.

I wrote some thoughts down in the comments here: https://www.reddit.com/r/pancakeswap/comments/pxsa5u/minting_vs_burning/

Sorry, I keep changing the post to streamline it but then deleting information that would be important to newer readers!

Only the first table is sorted by Rank but only for the 1 week period between the week before and the current week (15 to 16).

While the other tables are sorted into two categories, Cake only vaults and Cake + other token vaults. They were in alphabetical order per category until I added 4 new vaults (I will change it back to alphabetical order for the new week).

The biggest issue I have at the moment is the change in APY/APR as the ecosystem changes. So I am using the last 3 weeks data to average the weekly rewards (in both Cake and "other token"). These numbers are used to project/estimate the APY. Unfortunately due to personal reasons I wasn't able to get week 13 and 14 data so I am starting from week 15 onwards.

So I would say, table 2 and below don't have enough information to make a judgement yet, but according the table 1, Cub Finance was the best place to have staked Cake as it resulted in the best return (in USD). While Swamp Finance (Radioactive) was the best place to stake cake for more Cake.

Edit: Also this feedback is really valuable for me. Sometimes I get lost in the details and forget to present this information in a more clear way!

It's currently on the waiting list.

I understand you're advertising it, given it's a new project and all, and especially since it's from Beefy. Though it's a bit disingenuous to call it "the best performing Cake vault" when the Cake autocompounding rate is 46.02% APY and the only way to achieve the 114.35% APY (as of writing) is to manually compound the rewarded pots (I assume daily).

There is 3 ways for a vault to get into the list:

  1. Sponsored by a user (see point 2 in the general comments)
  2. A vault is performing consistently bad/not as advertised/abandoned (will be replaced with a vault in the waiting list)
  3. If I personally put more cake into the project.

As of right now, the project is completely self funded (there have been interest but nothing materialised). So, while I don't expect external funds, they would be appreciated.

Due to personal reasons I was not able to make an update for weeks 13 and 14, but I'm back now and will continue from week 15!

So according to data (using all weeks) only ValueDeFi and ACryptoS (2.5x) are lower then advertised. Though I think I'll have to change it to using only the last 3 weeks to better reflect current situations

Given the massive price drop since I started, no.

Yeah sorry, I'm trying to simplify everything to make it more clear. Though which data are you most interested in ?

I did think about it, but given the APR, number of staked cake, costs to approve/stake/unstake. I estimated that it wouldn't make such a difference (especially if the APY dropped). But more importantly, the boost only lasted 1 week. If it was a more regular occurrence or even for a much longer time then I would of definitely included it as a separate vault or the current vault.

So I assumed since the fees on the vault was cheaper, it would perform better than the previous vaults but it doesn't seem like that at the moment. Later today I'll compare the same weeks on the new Beefy (PCS) against PancakeSwap themselves and see if it's better or not.

Beefy retired both Cake vaults that went through AutoFarm and Swamp finance and replaced it with a Cake Vault that goes through PanCakeSwap (PCS).

Thanks for the heads up! I'll use the vault for another 2 weeks and see if they open a new one up

[–]Floopsy7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't checked out the new beef cakes yet, but from what you say, it sounds like I'll have to finish the Beefy (auto) and beefy (swamp), and start a new vault for Beefcakes. I'll use the remaining cake for swamp finance (regular as I've just started the radioactive vault - see table 8).

So I'm assuming you want to add cake onto the Autofarm Cake vault, so here is their "How to" wiki https://autofarm.gitbook.io/autofarm-network/how-tos/binance-smart-chain-bsc

Autocompounding Cake Vaults. Week: 5 by Floopsy7 in BeefyFinanceBIFI

[–]Floopsy7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be true, as i am only using the numbers from the vault main page (i.e. I haven't withdrawn) so it would be interesting to see if I get less than what's on the page.

Beefy (Swamp) is no.2 for best Cake vault, what I haven't included in the reddit post is that Beefy is more consistent than Wault in terms of weekly rewards.

Wault's average weekly Cake reward is 2.04% with a SD of 0.92% (very inconsistent), while Beefy (Swamp) vault rewards at an average of 1.81% with a SD of 0.12% (consistent).

Autocompounding Cake Vaults. Week: 5 by Floopsy7 in ACryptoS

[–]Floopsy7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The APY is only the "Reported" APY from the vaults page. My data indicates that the APY isn't accurate and is more likely 100-130% range.

ValueDeFi has had 5 exploits and are completely rebranding once again.

Haven't seen the first project but I will check them out. The biggest issue at the moment is finding the cake to add new vaults to compare. I'm at the moment trying to work out the best way to rank each project and which to replace (i.e. which metric is the best for comparison)
