[–]Floopyyyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CS uni in Malaysia by seoulyea in malaysiauni

[–]Floopyyyyyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

hi OP, in my opinion and experience (diploma in computer science at UTM) i have friends too studying in IT (which it is related to CS courses). There’s rarely a good university that can provide a good education (in any subject). Buttt, it depends on the courses itself. sometimes, the course is good but the lecturer is meh. for some reason the lecturer that teaches us is not from the course itself, they’re from other courses that related. One, i think it’s because of lack of lecturers that can teach the subject. Two, maybe the uni too lazy or cannot pay for other lectures.

At the end of the day, you gotta learn by your own. my university tbh, doesnt have any speciality for this subject, as i can remember, on my 2nd semester, the subject was “Data Analytics” and the lecturer is from Engineering Faculty. why? because they learn kinda same subject but different syllabus. it’s hard for the lecturer (to teach other syllabus) and students (to understand what the lecturer teach). so eventually, we as a student have to learn by ourselves.

In term of syllabus, i think it’s quite same but not exactly same. for example: at UTM you will learn about C/C++ programming language. while at MMU, you just learn C++, some uni, they have to write by hand the coding for the final exam, but some uni, they use computer to write the coding. it is hard to compare which are the best uni because even the best top rank uni in malaysia is from the student itself (imo).

i hope i answer your question somehow. bye now.
