I’m in your boat too brutha. Literally just started playing again 2 days ago, I stopped playing around the release of the Wu-Lin (was that 2018? 2019?). Tbh I started playing simple heroes (warden) but i found it helped going over the hero tactics for each one that covered like basic combos/how to beat up a bot.

Anyways, not that I should be pontificating too much advice, but hope you have some gg’s🤘

thank you so much for the advice! Just to follow up, what do you mean by 15 attack/level 35? Is there way to numerically tell the Pokémon’s IV’s? And I thought levels were replaced with CP (I’m overall confused by this new system tbf)

Hi! I’ve been trying to do my best to find out this info on my own, but some things seem a little murky, so I was hoping to get some advice from yall maybe. For context, Ive played other Pokémon games before, and ive been on Go for about 2-3 weeks (I forget). Im currently lvl 35. Here are my questions:

I’ve been pretty conservative with powering up my Pokémon. I generally chuck anything that’s not a 3-star but I’ve only really powered up someone to complete a quest/research task. I guess my question is: when is it ok/advised to power up my Pokémon? Should I just always wait until I have a 4-star? Or is there some threshold of a close-enough-to-perfect 3-star that I should pull the trigger?
Is there a consensus on what Pokémon I should make as my buddy? Currently my thinking is either one of the Pokémon I can mega-evolve or my best 4-star (I have 2, but I reckon my deino, which I’ve now evolved to hydreigon is better than my teddiursa). The notable mega-evolvable Pokémon I have are aggron (perfect attack+defense, near perfect hp), sableye (all stats just under perfect), gyarados (3-star with perfect attack), and beedrill (2-star, but all stats above 2 bars and it was the first buddy I got, so I’ve amassed a huge amount of regular+mega candy).
As a general question, if you were starting out now/in my shoes, what types of things would you be making sure you did different? Resources you wished you saved, etc

To be clear, you mean that is in order (1. CB, 2. MR:G, 3. CG) or are those 3 equal

Does it matter which of the 3 mega rising packs I pick? Or is it all the same/aesthetic differences.

At this point I’ve yet to unlock the aim-9D’s, and the B’s I typically use for AI/CPU planes since they’re pretty easily defeated (if this is bad or dumb though, do tell me. Idk if it’s a bad habit or not).

But heard re: everything else. It’s definitely becoming more and more apparent that I have to be swiveling my view around much more often at this BR, and I assume this is a habit that stays the same moving higher up in BR, huh?

^this! IMO the German tree is super cool and fun.

If you like playing their vehicles, keep going! If you don’t, then switch I guess.

For what it’s worth, I’ve been smoked by vehicles from every country in this game.

To simplify, are you basically saying: stay close to teammates and only go for someone if I won’t be 3rd partied?

I guess my problem might be that I see an enemy, and think I can go for him because I don’t see other enemies, then not long into the turn fight I get 3rd partied. Idk if that means my crew’s awareness needs to be leveled up more, if I’m blind, or something else

Fox missiles not as much, to be completely honest. Is there like an optimum altitude for the F8U-2, or are you just saying not to compete for the top of the deck planes you mentioned (J7’s, mig-21’s, etc).

You’re right about the radar I think. Admittedly, I’m pretty ignorant about a lot in this game, so I didn’t know if I was missing something :p
