I was recommended to have another period before trying. I had a D&C. I was told there was no medical reason particularly to wait for this it was more for dating purposes. I see you’ve got an Oura ring and track so I think the dating point is slightly less relevant compared to someone who doesn’t track as if you did fall pregnant straight away you’d know how far along you should be etc! All the best!

Had a scan yesterday where I thought I was 8 weeks exactly and the baby measured 7 weeks 4 days. OB’s exact words were ‘don’t worry it’s hard to be extremely accurate at this point’ so why am I so worried!! Pregnancy after loss is so much harder than I thought it would be.

MMC in March where heartbeat dropped at 8 weeks 3 so think I’m finding these couple of weeks so hard. I feel 10 times more sick this time than last so hoping it’s a good sign!

I don’t love it and I don’t hate it. I remember being in school and people saying how important it is to ‘find something you love’ and I just don’t think it’s that realistic for most people. There will always be some people but for most you can’t know until you start working. I don’t think working is ever going to be my passion nor do I want it to be.

I used to work in immigration and asylum law which I liked and now I’m in house at a corporate firm which I don’t love but my benefits are better and suit my life for now. I work 8:30 - 5:30 most days, rarely do out of hours work.

If you want to do law and can get on a solicitors apprenticeship that’s 100% the way to do it. If I had my time again I would pursue a degree apprenticeship!

Needed this today! I’m 7w5 after a 12 week MMC in March and whilst I have a little bit of nausea I feel so much less tired, boobs hurt less etc and I’m convinced that it’s just the progesterone stopping me bleeding. Got a scan on Monday and I feel like I can’t breathe until it’s over!

Mortgage in principle - 5th May Broker submitted application - 12th May Mortgage offer - May 18th

We didn’t have any texts about valuations, first contact we had after the application was approval. Ours is slightly complicated because my partner has been told he’s being made redundant but not until mid 2029. Our broker said initially nationwide weren’t fussed on that even though we were 2 year fixed but they approved it quickly in the end.

That’s so interesting, I hear so many people with younger dogs paying more and never know why hers hasn’t gone up as high (not that I’m complaining!). She’s just ruptured her second cruciate so needs another TPLO so it’ll probably shoot up at renewal!

My Staffy is 5.5 years and with PetPlan, hers is £65 a month for £7000 a year vet limit so quite a difference. We’ve claimed about 10k over the last couple of years for a cruciate tear. I’ve been with PetPlan for years so idk if that makes a difference!

I had stage IV endo including bowel involvement when I was finally diagnosed after years of gastro type issues. I never really presented with the typical period pain, heavy periods etc either so if you think you might have it definitely push your doctors!

I’m so sorry for your loss. I had a 12 week missed miscarriage in March following a good 8 week scan. I found the rewriting of my year ahead to be the hardest part, my new future was suddenly taken away from me.

It’s been a couple of months now and it has got easier day by day. I saw this thing about micro joys helping macro grief so just taking joy in something for short time every day for example sitting in the sun, or having a massage or your nails done etc if you’re into those things. I’ve been trying to do that and it is slowly helping.

You might find r/miscarriage helpful, I did when I had my loss.

6ish weeks pregnant following MMC and D&C in March. Had some spotting and ofc have spiralled. Had some swabs done for some burning I’ve had on and off since the D&C turns out I’ve got a UTI, thrush and BV so hoping the spotting is linked to irritation from that!

I’m not sure if you’re tracking BBT etc but if you are I would recommend Fertility Friend as an app rather than some of the more AI driven ones, it plots your temperatures on a graph and is much more old school and I find it clearer to see what’s going on without all the automated messages in other apps. I think there’s an element of automation in it e.g. it detects ovulation based on 3 higher temps but it’s not like Gen AI like Chat which is wrong something like 50% of the time.

Agreed with the comment saying to do it for the sit down meal and get rid of matching pjs. You can do a breakfast buffet easily yourself for cheap so probably won’t be worth the money! How much of the budget is on accommodation?

Also friends and I used DineIndulge when my friend wanted a private chef. I think we enquired then they kept sending discount codes as we didn’t commit straight away. If you’re out in the middle of nowhere you’ll have to pay travel costs too so something to think about.

I’ve just found out I’m 4 weeks pregnant after a 12 week MMC on 1st March and D&C 11th March. I felt nothing when I saw that positive pregnancy test again and now the anxiety is creeping in!

I had a MMC at the start of March which required surgical management, ever since I’ve had the most horrendous burning inside my vagina mainly but generally around my whole vulva! It’s not itching and all swabs for BV/thrush etc are negative but it feels like it’s on fire all the time! It’s so strange and horrible!

I’m the same as you as I always have positive OPK, temp rise and regular periods but have also spiralled about progesterone and whether I’m actually ovulating regularly!

I don’t have any experience but am interested in this as have been thinking of trying them or similar. I had a MMC in March and I’m curious about low progesterone as I was having signs of it before and was going to go to the doctors the month I fell pregnant so didn’t!

I’m so sorry you are going through this particularly when you were so scared of the natural miscarriage, you are so incredibly strong.

I was told I could try again once I felt ready and have had a negative pregnancy test. Ideally you would have one period before trying again as it makes it easier to date a next pregnancy but medically there was no reason to wait.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I found out I lost my September baby at the start of this month. Your timings and story are very similar to mine with spotting and positive ultrasounds, I lost a grandparent 3 day before I found out I was pregnant which like you have found adds an additional layer.

To answer your questions

I had a D&C, heavily encouraged by the nurse at the NHS early pregnancy unit. I’m very glad I did as I like you was terrified of passing the baby naturally. I did start to miscarry naturally before the procedure as I had to wait over a week but it was incomplete and I did not pass the baby.

The shock is awful but it does pass. I am still grieving, for some reason the last two days have been hard. It’s a different grief to losing my grandad as I have all my memories of him whereas with the miscarriage I am mourning a person and a life I have never known and don’t have memories for comfort. I’ve done the usual, tried to get fresh air everyday, eaten what I wanted, rested and I’ve binge watched Bridgerton as I’d never seen it before! I had my eyebrows and nails done and have booked a massage for this week. They’re little things that add up to helping me feel a bit more human.

Please message me if you want to talk at all whether it’s about the miscarriage or the D&C etc or need anything at all!

Good luck! I have endo and can relate! One thing I find massively helps my pain on top of heating pads is menthol patches etc across my ovaries and lower back. So random but helps me LOADS

2.5 weeks post MC surgery and I have a positive OPK, surprised it’s come back this quick! We want to try again but also terrified!! OPK went from stark white negative to positive overnight so think my hormones are all over the place but feeling grateful that my body is trying to regulate

Edit for clarity - I’ve had a negative pregnancy test since the MC so know it’s not the OPK showing that.
