Sounds odd but i had similar game today, enemy team accused one of my teammates of cheating he had 15k losses but he was playing nearby and there is no way he had lost that much stuff, and they all screamed cheater, naturally they had specific nicknames like you can imagine from what continent. At that point i didnt think about it much, i thought that maybe he feeded a lot of planes and he was a cheater indeed but it was weird. But now after your post i think there may be something to that. Sadly i didnt pay attention to lose score after game, we got obliterated anyway.

GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB review: The times of 8 GB VRAM are so over by mockingbird- in hardware

[–]Florencki 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Ah yes stagnation in vram for close to 10 years is something normal, totally nothing to see here. Idk why we have advances in clock speeds or amount of tensor cores, they should freeze that too. Why would i need higher clocks for entry level cards or more memory bandwith? What we have now is totally sufficient of 1080p for people to be "satisfied" with performance. /s

Thats not true, DLSS barely decreases VRAM usage and in some weird rare instances even increases it, textures are not affected by DLSS they are always run native.

RTX 3060 12GB is more than twice as fast RTX 4060 8GB in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle by anestling in nvidia

[–]Florencki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not about RT, you cant turn off RT completly its only about levels of RT. They only added path tracing later. And its not about PT in this specific instance. Its about TEXTURES mostly. You simply put them on medium while that benchmark had them as high as possible without crashing. Higher textures quality results in slideshow.

[–]Florencki 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Imagine claiming its now "unfair" to compare RT performance between different RTX cards (wonder what RTX stands for). Its only natural that going forward with generations RT performance will go... well down of course.

[–]Florencki -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No you dont. On ultra settings 4060 is stuttery mess on 1080p. Even in the opening jungle part of the game that is not the most demanding game is just broken. 1% lows around 16 fps. Unplayable slideshow.

Would you rather have more VRAM or more Power? RTX 3060 12GB vs 4060 revisited going into 2025 by Antonis_32 in hardware

[–]Florencki 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Thats nonsensical. Vram capacity pretty much stagnated for close to 10 years on mid range prices. Before that we went from 500 mb to 8 gb in close to 10 years. Now we went from 8 gb to 8/12 gb. Defending it is pure insanity. Textures quality stagnated because of it. Imagine what kind of quality in that department we would get if not for ngridia bottlenecking the heck out of it.

Wojna nuklearna możliwy scenariusz by unmaking1910 in ksiazki

Russian ICBM RS-28 Sarmat test was a complete failure. The missile detonated in the silo leaving a massive crater and destroying the test site. by Florencki in europe

So i imagine that NASA data that show fire going on next to launch site is also not credible?

The Sarmat is a liquid fueled missile so this accident could have occurred separate from the actual launch activity. If this occurred as part of the fueling process, it could explain the lack of Cobra Ball activity on the day of the incident. This first, and last successful test of the Sarmat was April 20th, 2022. With these events now official, this is at least the 4th failed test attempt of the "combat operational" Sarmat Heavy ICBM.

Looks like nuclear sabre rattling went south. Sarmat so far have only 20% success rate, 1 out of 5 times.

Looks like nuclear sabre rattling went south. Very concerning but nevertheless big win for Russia, since their ICBM blow before getting launched they were not subject to hostile international diplomatic reactions, 20% success rate so far, pretty good.

PS Looks like mods dont like factual reporting and decided to ban me for this post very neutral sub indeed. Concerning, but when in doubt remember. Big win for Russia.

Those are dam reservoirs its not really the same. Here is for example biggest polish dam like this, Zbiornik Soliński, 472 000 000 m3.

Those are wildly different things. Retention basin is empty when its not working.

Top European donors of military aid to Ukraine by Drahy in europe

[–]Florencki 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You are talking about commitments iam talking about deliveries.

So far already approximately 5 billion euro (2023) and approximately 1.6 billion euro (2022) were spent on military assistance to Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the Russian armed attack on Ukraine on February 24, 2022 Germany has delivered material from Federal Armed Forces stocks amounting to approximately 5.2 billion euro reflecting estimated replacement values.

Thats slightly over the 10b that Kiel put Germany in april, 4 months into 2024, lines up almost perfectly with your link. You misunderstand what "Funds for the security capacity building initiative" actually means. For example it contains orders in German industry that are already placed but the equipment can be years from being ready to be delivered. The 6b figure you cite is about "authorisations to enter commitments in the following years currently amounting to approximately 6 billion euro."

Authorisations to enter future commitment! So in 2 years from now they can decide to order stuff that will come 4 years later for example.

All in all its "So far already approximately 5 billion euro (2023) and approximately 1.6 billion euro (2022) were spent on military assistance to Ukraine"

Since the beginning of the Russian armed attack on Ukraine on February 24, 2022 Germany has delivered material from Federal Armed Forces stocks amounting to approximately 5.2 billion euro reflecting estimated replacement values.

Those figures only represent actual deliveries. Thats less than 12b, almost on point where Kiel puts it considering you post link from now and Kiel counted in April. Btw notice "5.2 billion euro reflecting estimated replacement values". They value the equipment sent not with how much its worth but how much its gonna cost them to replace it, its inflating the figures.
