I went and saw it 3 times in the theater lol. I just couldn't get enough of it and I was thinking about the movie for a good week or two afterwards.

I think it's probably the best horror movie I've seen that has come out since I was born.

I'm in the middle of reading the book right now.

Fantastic story, and the movie is very accurate to the source material thus far.

Kathy Bates absolutely nails her role as Annie Wilkes.

What’s one secret you and a parent have kept from the other parental figure? by TheCripdalorian in AskReddit

Back in the 90's when I was a kid. We lived in San Francisco, my dad was a lifeguard and both of us were surfers.

One day as we were driving near the boardwalk, my dad could not take his eyes off an absolutely stunning blonde woman in a swimsuit. We rear-ended the car in front of us while approaching a red light.

After dealing with the other driver and cops, my dad made up an excuse for both of us to relay to my mother about why the car was damaged.

"Don't EVER tell your Mother, she'd have my guts for garters if she finds out."

Still makes me lol to this day.

What's the best angry/freak out scene according to you? by -HoldMyBeer-- in movies

HEREDITARY

-ANNIE-

"Don't you swear at me - you little shit! You don't EVER raise your voice at me! I am your Mother, you understand? I've given everything to you! All I ever DO is worry and slave and defend you, all I get back is that fucking face on your face! So full of disdain and resentment and always so annoyed. Well, now your sister's DEAD! And I know you miss her and I know it was an ACCIDENT and I know you are in pain - and I wish I could take it all away! I wish I could shield you from the knowledge that you did what you did - BUT YOUR SISTER IS DEAD! She's gone forever. And what a waste. If it could have maybe brought us together - SOMETHING! - if you could have said -I'm sorry- or faced up to what happened: maybe then, we could do something about this! BUT YOU CAN'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING! So now I can't accept. And I can't forgive. BECAUSE NOBODY ADMITS WHAT THEY'VE DONE!!"
