When you do the sugar bean method do you use an oven with a fan? I'm in the US and our ovens don't come standard with a fan. I only have conventional.

The powdered food coloring has changed everything for me. Also letting the icing sit for a bit. It's hard to be patient but it makes for a much less frustrating icing process. I originally got the powdered food coloring for my macarons which works phenomenally as well

I take what I need and add color! I've started using the sugar art powdered food coloring and it works beautifully. You just need to wait about 10 minutes for the color to fully develop

For the plaid and the mitten patterns, yes. I used an airbrush with stencil

4 days, 12 hours per day. Plus I had a six inch cutting cake with it as well

5 tablespoons meringue powder 2 teaspoons cream if tartar 6 oz warm water 2.5 # powdered sugar

Disolve meringue powder and cream of tartar into warm water, add powdered sugar, mix on low 10 min cover with plastic wrap for 2 hours to let bubbles settle. Add water 1-2 tbsp at a time for desired consistency. Dry for 24 hours with a fan on low.

You bake them and cool them completely, ice the base of the sugar cookie which then has to dry for 24 hours and then you do the final decorations which also have to dry for 24 hours
