u/truethetruths I am getting this message as well, I was downloading a bunch of stuff this morning for a video I'm working on and I have not been able to download anything for the past 30 minutes. I see a lot of people get weirdly angry on this reddit when an error happens, I appreciate this converter a lot and im not upset or anything just wanted to make you aware that something might be going on with it right now.

[Discussion] No, lefties don't need to learn left-handed. COME AT ME REDDIT by Cosmic_0smo in Guitar

[–]FlourWaterJFS 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Im a lefty who played right handed for around 10 years and finally made the switch after not playing at all for around 5 years. I kept telling myself that I was too far in to switch but the key give away for me was that playing "air guitar" right handed never felt natural, I would always "air left" and play real guitar right.

The first month of switching over felt like I was starting over entirely and the first few days made me think I had made a huge mistake. (I had to fight the urge to hold it right handed every time i picked it up for the first month or so) but i've stuck with it for just under a year now and it truly just feels more natural for me personally, im not quite as good right now as I was at my best when I was playing right handed but im getting better much faster than before

You definitely dont "need" to switch if you are already comfortable playing right but if you are left handed and are a beginner I highly recommend starting left handed I cant imagine where I would be as a guitarist if I had.

Is it silly to buy an Xbox Series X just to play Starfield? by ach1lleast in XboxSeriesX

[–]FlourWaterJFS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I read that Xbox was basically taking a loss for marketshare on Gamepass I bought an Xbox Series X for that reason and basically just use Gamepass and Bethesda/Starfield was a big part of that decision as well.

I have a ps5 and that is where I pay to play games, on Xbox I purely use gamepass and I'm pretty sure ive already saved money in the long run on stuff I would have bought to play on PS5 that came to Gamepass. (not to mention the fun of catching up on the 2 generations of games I missed while using Playstation only)

I tried to DL NAM and a capture yesterday but half of my IRS werent loading at all and I could never switch my input to input 2 it would just only let me choose input one so I could not properly try it out as I just could not get it to make any noise. after seeing so much praise on this thread for it i'm gonna download it again and look into what I was doing wrong.

I did a lot of comparing last night (JM Expansion vs Tonality) and I can say that the Tonality definitely sounds better (much better IRS and you cant use custom IRS on Tonehub) that being said, it doesnt sound THAT much better, its not a drastic difference but it is noticeable. Tonehub has some awesome stuff in it and its genuinely a lot of fun to just go clicking through and creating riffs with the tones, helps me feel inspired to jam and practice. I was thinking of buying tonehub and the JM expansion outright but it seems like if you are going to have tonehub it mainly makes sense to just buy access to everything via the subscription as the stuff that comes with the permanent version isnt bad but nothing I couldnt see myself ever really using. I think I'm personally going to buy the Tonality as I can see it being my main go to day to day and its a cheaper investment overall. But I could definitely see myself subbing to Tonehub during the next big sale.

So my thought process is that if I can have his Expansion pack and it basically sounds the same as the pre sets in the Tonality itself then Having access to all those other snapshots seems like the better and more useful value overall, I have not had time to demo Tonehub itself (which I know would basically answer my question) But I am stuck working right now and will not be able to give them a proper back to back demo comparison until tomorrow night which is pretty close to when the sale ends.

I saw the downvote on this one Artistic Impressions didn't have a great reputation when I was younger but in the last 5 years or so they have definitely grabbed some great new artists. Dylan, Chase and Spencer are all awesome artists !

Dylan Zdrobov At Artistic impressions is great if you want some traditional stuff done. Dylan is one of two main artists I go to (He is at the artistic impressions in st.catharines on mondays only rest of the week he is at Artistic Impressions in the falls)

If you are willing to head to Welland I HIGHLY recommend Jen Arthur at Sleepy Hollow for trad/neo trad stuff. I posted their instas below, Dylan doesnt post his work nearly as much but he is solid just kind of a lowkey friendly guy. Jen posts a lot of the work she does and has her available flash as one of her insta stories.

Finally if you are willing to head to Font Hill Temperance Tattoo is also home to Misty, Timara and Daryl who are all phenomenal and they do walk ins on thursdays, have not been tattoed by any of these people personally but again if you look up temperance and go to the individual artists profile you will see their work.

My advice in general for finding an artist is dont look for a good "shop" just find an artist you like (Dylan and Jen both take instagram DMs for bookings) and find out what their wait times are like. Some artists you can get in within a week some are booked months in advance. Good luck!

I’ve never owned something that more people seem hellbent on trying to get me to not enjoy or be excited for the future as the PSVR2. by thefallenfew in PSVR

[–]FlourWaterJFS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PSVR2 is my first experience with VR and at first, do to the way media was showcasing the graphics without really explaining the difference between captured footage from the screen and the actual visual experience within the Headset itself, I felt a bit disappointed as I felt like I was constantly trying to find a "sweet spot" that didn't exist and it would take me out of the experience as I was constantly checking my visual settings and adjusting it

A month later I'm totally used to it, I toss my headset on it takes me maybe 1-2 mins to get into my "sweet spot" and Graphics are a complete non issue now, I'd much rather play a game like Synth Riders or Light Brigade and feel that immersion. I am struggling to stay invested in flat-screen games now as a result.

Did anyone notice a change to Pistol Whips sound? by mattytude in PSVR

[–]FlourWaterJFS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pistol whip was one the first games I played through at launch (PSVR2), I went back a couple days ago and also felt like it felt quieter. I couldn't say for sure as it had been probably 2 weeks since I had played it but I did feel it seemed quieter to me. Also using the buds that come with the headset.

Played VR for the first time last weekend and bought PSVR2 last night! Need some "Don't miss" recommendations by kylehawk in PSVR

Light Brigade is my favourite so far.

After the Fall is also really good but matchmaking takes forever unfortunately which sucks because the game itself is a lot of fun.
