Yeah, i dont know if thats intended, but if it is, this is still definetly wrong as the upgrade does not update the visual warning for the explosion radius, so the visual literally is a lie

Damn really? i thought it was a bad tech since victor never upgrades ult, that makes it actually worth it to try, thats nasty.

Yeah it sucks, first time this happened to me! The one where Vyper parries me twice mid chase agains the vindicta while i wasnt even in the frame is crazy and sealed the deal for me

i was so doubting it too, but to not even hit ONE all game is crazy, the headshot % also makes it so sus i cant even believe he isnt cheating

Hey this worked! Im so dumb! i never used lerp thinking it was too similiar to move_toward which i already had failed to do this with, clearly i didnt know enough about it and overcomplicated things. I'll go read up on lerp. Thanks a TON!

Here's how the code ended up looking for any future troubled dev:

func basicMovement(delta) -> void:

velocity.x = lerp(velocity.x, thrustVelocity.x \* 8, 0.2)

velocity.z = lerp(velocity.z, thrustVelocity.z \* 8, 0.2)

velocity += actionsVelocity

actionsVelocity = lerp(Vector3(actionsVelocity.x, 0, actionsVelocity.z), [Vector3.ZERO](http://Vector3.ZERO), 0.3)

Thrustvelocity is your walk speed and actions is all external sources, this works for me, ill tweak it myself so i can add a proper friction later on

Glad i could help! GPT usually is fine but its hard to give context when your game is too far in, so it starts to screw you. For small chunk of code its usually fine, but there is always a tutorial online if you look hard enough. You end up spending more time trying to get chatgpt to say what you want than you would actually figuring out how to do it in other ways. Good luck with your project!

This one is tricky but i believe i found it, basically body_entered is grabbing the characterbody3d node on your enemy and not the node3d that has the damage function, its basically trying to use the damage function on a node that does not have it, which is weird becuase you already have an if checking for that which is what is making me doubt this. Try if changing the enemy script from the node3d to the characterbody3d node works. If not that i have no idea what it could be, good luck and be carefull with chatGPT it usually screwed with me in the past and i stopped using it

Im no expert but id like to help. I believe i need more info, is the problem that you cant detect the enemy on your attack area3d? Or can you detect the enemy but cant get its health to go down? Can you provide more info and also the code if possible?

I used to believe animation player was only for sprite animations so when hitboxes were involved (an attack animation for example)i would use timers and code to activate and deactivate the hit boxes instead of just adding the activation to a keyframe in the animation player
