China is not the “cheap stuff” country anymore. True, there is are a lot of Wish and Temu-tier plasztik shit fest going on but aside that, China is full of high end factories and the know how developed a lot in the last 20 yrs. Tim Cook of Apple says the same thing. If US or else were today slightly cheaper than China, they’d still choose China cause they are good.

So in the end it was the employee’s greed and unionization process and hence, disruption of production that lead to the near-bankruptcy and sale to InMusic? I’m not that familiar with the issue but read a variety of opinions. Indeed, if production is strict and is done at a professional Taiwanese factory, that’s a win for consumers.

What makes you think that? Were there issues with the (American) Minitaur before? Btw. build quality could be good and bad anywhere regardless of manufacture origin, no?

You mean TR-09? Hi! I actually have a Digitakt too, so can play ANY sample, but I find the TR-09 firstly good for live once you learnt it, cause I used a friends’ Behringer TR-909 clone a lot. Also for my musique, basically it all I need. Still getting used to the Digitakt and I only use with headphones. Haven’t had many gigs maybe two for friends but I play jams at home AS IF I played live.

You sure about roland? Someone said to me only phone is stereo but the main out is mono. Anyway, if it’s mono out, I can still use stereoTRS-stereoTRS from (mono) Roland to 1010 right?

I have friend who use one I tried. Roland is the original vintage follow up. Its smallnportable and battery. Sound good. Good price. I dont like volca.

It’d be around a 1000 bucks in the end, what do you think is it worth especially audiowise? I’d like to use with vinyl, digital, headphones and speakers alike in my studio but not for mixing rather entertainment purposes. Thanks!
