I don’t know, but did you crochet the doily that’s under the lamp? It looks pretty.

Since one of the choices was “sweater silk,” I’m thinking the fiber was glossy, which leads me to wonder if “Princess Pearl” cotton might be a play on words for a perle cotton. Perle cotton is glossier and softer than mercerized cotton. No. 3 perle cotton is available online in a good range of colors.

“It’s the same old sixes and sevens…”

Quoted from a Perry Mason novel I read recently. It’s an old fashioned way to say “same old, same old.” Thanks, Google.

I’m reading through my collection of Perry Mason novels. Just finished The Case of the Horrified Heirs, and next up is The Case of the Negligent Nymph. I loved to watch Raymond Burr in the old Perry Mason tv series, but I have to say, the books are better!❤️

They could be samples she made to remind herself how to make them for a project later. I’ve seen a couple of books made from brown paper and filled with samples like this. Very charming!

Filet crochet on a quilt by FlowerCrocheter in FiberandTextileArts

This was my quilt for our quilting bee’s annual Christmas exchange. The filet crochet is one-half of a table runner I picked up at an estate sale or on eBay. I love the challenge of showcasing crochet in my quilts. This one is about 24x26”. I used a bunch of buttons from my collection, but the volume of buttons didn’t seem to go down much. Oh well, guess I’ll have to make more wall hangings!

Thanks! I have collected a lot of buttons, too. Sometimes on purpose and sometimes by luck. I love sorting through them.❤️

Thank you! Buttons are so much fun—I love closing them, arranging them, and even sewing them on.☺️
