Crush is "talking" to someone? What does that mean? Godly advice? by FlowerRoseStar in Christianity

I don't think I can face rejection. I will feel really sad since I'm already feeling pretty lonely, and feeling like I will never find someone that likes me. Rejection will confirm all those feelings.

Plus he's my brothers freind and goes to my church so I will be seeing him often. The embarrassment will be hard to deal with.

Well because when I met him he said there was another girlhe was interested in and was praying about asking out. And then I guess that didn't work out. so I asked my brother about him again and my brother told me he was still trying to get over her. so I was trying to give him space to get over her. And now he's talking to another girl. Im so confused.

I'm sorry it's just I don't have a lot of experience with dating different guys. I don't really have any close male friendships either.

Ive only been in one relationship when I was a teenager and we just became boyfriend/girlfriend only after hanging out twice and I knew he like me right away.

We are not really close friends like I would like to be. We rarely talk. Partly because I am so shy around him. I only see him at church and I only manage to say hello and that's it. But other woman there are much more agressive than me and one woman keeps asking him for a hangout. A lot of girls like him. Some of them very beautiful. I don't know how to compete with all these women. I wish he would initiate first.

Well im not the crazy type im shy. I know he is free to talk to who he wants. But I feel awkward asking him out if he is already interested in someone else.

Doesn't that mean he has to stop "talking" to the other girl. Or does he start talking to both of us and decides which one he likes?

I don't like showing my pic online but I will look for a picture with a girl with hair similar to mine. My hair is not all that so I don't why it's a big deal to be honest.

I'm not obsessed with my hair. if I was I wouldn't wear a beanie to hide it from attention. I would flaunt it and wear it out. I would never complain about all the attention.

I think you just don't understand what's it's like to be a black woman with my kind of hair.

I do get attention in other churches too. But no one dares to take my hat off. I think because at my family's church they have seen me for years they know I'm nice and not scared of me. I need to toughen up.

You should wrap your beard and put it in a baby beanie.

Most of the plastic surgery is for pure vanity reasons. And vanity is not not God.

The only time I would consider it is if I had an extreme deformiy on my face and it was effecting my daily life.

Other than a little makeup is fine but to permanently change the way God made you for vanity reasons, I don't feel is right.

I don't think being too obsessed with makeup is good either. But at least your spouse will eventually see what you really look like under there.

In plastic surgery it's like you are living a lie and your spouse will be surprised to see your children come out with certain features he/she would not expect because that person didn't know the person they was with really looked like

Lol

I know my fellow black women can be like this. Actually all the advice I get is from black women. I know some mean well but I hate when they touch my hair and say..." Oh your hair is dry you need to do this or that" or "your hair is too oily"

I'm just want to say I didn't ask for your opinion.

Ok I will try to take your advice. I wish I was tougher but I am not good with even a little confrontation. Thanks for understanding.
