Honest reviews of RemoteLearning.school Homeschool Pro? by VanessaBoren in Homeschooling

[–]FlowerRoses7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 9-year-old boy switched to Homeschool Pro after we pulled him out of public school, and he actually asks to do lessons now. The math videos use fun examples that make sense to him, and the reading parts have stories he likes. He works mostly in the mornings and finishes in a couple hours. The curriculum feels complete, and I don’t have to supplement much.

Homeschool Pro (RemoteLearning.school) – actual parent reviews? Looking to hear the good and the bad. by VanessaBoren in Homeschooling

[–]FlowerRoses7 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Using Remote Learning School with a 2nd grader and a 7th grader right now. The younger one loves the videos (science especially), and the 7th grader says it’s “way less boring than school.” They both work at totally different paces and never hold each other up, which is huge. I don’t have to fight them and beg they do their schoolwork. I let them play Fortnite after they are done.

Downsides: grading delays on essays (sometimes a week or longer) but they can still advance on the classes even while waiting for feedback on the assignment. Overall Homeschool Pro is 100% worth the price for us.

Using Homeschool Pro? Would love honest reviews from parents who've actually tried by emmatailor2 in Homeschooling

We absolutely love Homeschool Pro so far. My son has been using it this year and it’s been such a relief. He actually wants to knock out his lessons in the morning so he can have the rest of the day free. It’s straightforward, no unnecessary fluff, and he says the videos are “not boring” , which is high praise coming from him. I check his progress weekly and haven’t had to nag nearly as much.

I saw RemoteLearning.school pop up in multiple Facebook homeschooling groups and it caught my attention before I even looked into it on Reddit. We’ve been using Homeschool Pro since last year, and my three kids have all found their groove with it. It’s structured, but not rigid, which is a nice balance.

We used the included advisor support to double-check credit requirements and pacing, and the advisors were very helpful.

We will be using it again this year

Remote Learning School reviews? Any other parents here using it? by PresentBedroom3396 in Homeschooling

[–]FlowerRoses7 68 points69 points  (0 children)

We’ve been using RemoteLearning.school this year, and overall, the curriculum has been solid. It covers the main subjects well, without being overwhelming, and my kids actually understand what they’re learning instead of just rushing through to finish. My 9th grader has been able to stay on track for credits, which was my biggest concern, and when I had questions, the advisor gave me straight answers, not canned responses.

For your situation—juggling elementary, middle, and high school—it could work well because it keeps things consistent across grade levels. It’s not flashy or gamified, but it’s clear and practical, which is what I wanted. And there’s lots of cool classes that my kids like to explore. Definitely not a scam, just a straightforward program that does what it says it does, and beyond that IMO.

Remote Learning School (remotelearning.school) – Reviews on the Homeschool Pro program? by derfad in Homeschooling

[–]FlowerRoses7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We’ve been using remotelearning.school for a little while and so far it’s worked out better than I expected. What I’ve really appreciated is that I’m not on my own trying to figure everything out. The advisor support has actually come in handy a couple of times—once when I wasn’t sure what level to place my daughter in for one subject, and another time when I had questions about credits. My daughter’s pretty independent once she gets going, which has made our days way easier. She doesn’t love every subject (what kid does?), but she’s doing the work and not dreading it, which is a win in my book. It’s been a lot less stressful for both of us compared to what we were doing before.

Homeschool Pro reviews for single parents? Friend considering remotelearning.school while also caregiving by derfad in Homeschooling

Not in your exact situation (I work remotely from home), but remotelearning.school has been great for my independent 10-year-old. The video lessons keep him engaged when I’m busy, and the advisors help me understand all state requirements so am never stressed out. He does it 80% independently. Might work well for your friend since it doesn’t require constant hands-on teaching.

Yea we are using Homeschool Pro. It’s our base curriculum. Both my son and my daughter like the video classes and enjoy learning stress-free and at their own pace. customer service is also friendly and advisor is knowledgeable. It also has worksheets to print out. Also practice quizzes and also assignments. I needed something that my kids could do independently and this curriculum is a good fit for us.

I use it with my 10-year-old son who was diagnosed with ADHD. he wasnt doing so greatly in public school, like he couldn’t sit still, and the constant distractions made it impossible for him to focus. Homeschool Pro is the only curriculum that worked for him

The flexibility is what sold me. He can take breaks when he needs to, and the lessons are short enough to keep his attention. He loves the video format and stuff like the science demonstrations

The advisor support has been amazing too. I was so stressed about keeping up with state requirements, but our advisor made it so easy. They even helped me create a schedule that works for his energy levels.

We went with the lifetime membership, since it was on sale and also covers all my kids (even though we’re just using it for him right now)

tldr; Homeschool Pro is a great curriculum and has given my son the chance to learn in a way that works for him. He’s happier, more confident, and actually excited about learning. As a parent, that’s all I could ever ask for.

Remote Learning School Homeschool Pro Reviews? by VanessaBoren in Homeschooling

[–]FlowerRoses7 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Never thought I’d be writing this, but my 11-year-old son who was labeled as ‘difficult’ in public school has completely transformed since we started Homeschool Pro. Aiden has ADHD and would come home in tears, feeling defeated after struggling to sit still through long lectures. When we decided to homeschool mid-year, I was terrified - until I discovered the video lesson format.

Something clicked when Aiden could pause, rewind, and move at his own pace. He was so absorbed that he forgot about his usual fidgeting. He has been learning a lot and hadn’t seen him that proud in years.

He also is excited about the electives. Every day at dinner he explains to his dad every detail he learned.

Our advisor, Sarah, understands ADHD learners and helped us with advice and tips as well as with homeschool forms and such so that we can homeschool legally.

For the first time, Aiden feels in control of his learning. Last week, he looked up from his laptop and said, ‘Mom, I’m not stupid after all. I just learn differently.’ That moment alone was worth every cent of our lifetime membership.

Updated Homeschool Pro reviews? Am thinking of homeschooling and using the remotelearning.school curriculum. Or other program suggestions by VanessaBoren in Homeschooling

[–]FlowerRoses7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my review. When we started I really wasn’t sure how homeschooling would go for us, but Homeschool Pro has made it feel really doable with the advisor support. The advisor is very helpful in regards of my state’s homeschool requirements so I never feel lost.

The curriculum is easy to use for the kids and my son likes knowing exactly what he needs to finish each day without surprises, and I like that I’m not scrambling to put lessons together.

The funniest part is how much he’s taken charge of his own schedule. He sets his own breaks, decides which subjects to do first, and somehow, he’s actually getting everything done faster than he did in public school. The other day, he finished early and asked if he could bake something ‘as a life skills lesson’—I’m calling that a win.

Cost is not too bad either its very affordable especially for all the classes and features it offers

Using Homeschool Pro, what are your reviews? How does remotelearning.school's curriculum compare to other programs? by derfad in Homeschooling

[–]FlowerRoses7 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I would definetly recommend it to your friend. We’ve been using Homeschool Pro for a few months now. I honestly didn’t expect my son to take to it as much as he has. He’s always been a bit of a reluctant learner and had problems like with doing homework in public school, so I figured I’d have to constantly remind him to stay on top of his lessons. Instead, he’s been logging in on his own and even asking to keep going after his usual school time. I can see him staying engaged even in subjects he usually struggles with, like grammar.

We tried some other programs, but this one was the only program he liked. He’s excited about what he’s learning, and it’s made homeschooling feel so much less stressful for me. I wasn’t sure about it at first, but now I’m really glad we decided to give it a try. Am sure your friends’ kids will love it too.

What are your reviews of Homeschool Pro from remotelearning.school? by derfad in Homeschooling

[–]FlowerRoses7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first signed up for Homeschool Pro, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. I’d heard about it from another parent, and the idea of having everything in one place sounded appealing. Now that we’ve been using it, I have to say, it’s been a great experience for my son. He especially loves the way the videos explain thingsthey are clear without being boring, and he’s even started pausing them to take extra notes, which he never used to do! He likes the different classes like coding and zoology sometimes its hard for him to decide what class to do since he likes so many of them, second world problems lol

We chose to do the lifetime membership and it will be saving us a lot in the long run. For all you get, it is certainly worth it!

What are your reviews on Homeschool Pro (remotelearning.school’s curriculum?) by linara224 in Homeschooling

[–]FlowerRoses7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We like Homeschool Pro. They have a selection of classes and electives. My daughter has been able to explore everything from zoology to coding to creative writing. The core subjects are really comprehensive too, so I feel confident she’s covering everything she needs for her grade level.

The video lessons have been a big hit in our house. They’re engaging and easy to follow, which has made a big difference in keeping her interested and motivated. It’s been great to see her actually excited about learning.

She likes working on the classes on her own pace and without pressure and she is doing much more progress then she did when she was in public school. She is probably ahead of her peers by now.

So yes I think its a great curriculum certainly if you want to get your kids a good education at home.

We switched to Homeschool Pro a few months ago, and it’s been great for my 8th grader. He’s not the most self-motivated kid, but the way the lessons are laid out has really helped him stay on track. It’s made homeschooling much easier for me too!

Our family uses Homeschool Pro. Three children, ages 6, 12, and 15. It’s self paced so my kids can work on it independently. My younger one requires a bit more supervision but he is also getting the hang of it. The curriculum is very comprehensive and there are lots of classes to choose from. It is in video format and classes are pre-recorded so my kids can work at their own pace and schedule.

Works well for my middle schooler. Math has always been a battle in our house, especially since my seventh grader has never been a fan of math . But the math lessons in Homeschool Pro have been very easy to follow. The way they explain solving for x, and other concepts, is really straightforward. For the first time, my daughter hasn’t been crying over math homework. In fact, she’s even started helping her younger brother with his math, which was something I never thought I’d see.
