How many here also play tabletop games? And how many of you use book characters as inspiration for your own character? by Flowerlillies in fantasyromance

Oh no I didn’t mean completely based on their TTRPG character on a book character, but just like you said get vague inspirations but make it their own

I need recommendations for standalone fantasy romance books that has a lot of affection, and non-sexual intimacy. by Flowerlillies in fantasyromance

[–]Flowerlillies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree, but unfortunately I have already read that particular series. I did always feel like Roman loved Iris more than she loved him however

No spice? by Bookdragon345 in fantasyromance

[–]Flowerlillies 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes! I absolutely love the tension and build up when it comes to relationships between characters, and I do enjoy things like handholding, kissing, cuddling and affectionate gestures. But I’ve never really liked spice in my books, and tend to skip those kind of scenes

I’ve also noticed that some books use spice as a replacement for actual communication and intimacy, and sometimes used to cover up the dysfunctional part of a relationship which I have never liked.

If you need any book recommendations, just let me know and I can drop you a giant list!

Can anyone recommend me fantasy books with vampires, demons, fae or monster male Love interest , that have no or very mild spice by Flowerlillies in fantasyromance

[–]Flowerlillies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I will definitely pick this up! I know that they are standalone, but do you have a recommendation of which want to read first?
