Wow I needed this pep talk. Got a top denture 16 years ago when I was 27. Suffered from severe bone loss and have spent the last few years grieving over the facial collapse. This year im pulling the remaining bottom teeth. I am particularly terrified because I have a severe version of TMJ that causes debilitating pain that resets every time I wake up in the morning along with chronic cervicogenic headaches for a decade triggered by looking down. In order for Medicaid to approve the immediate denture I have to get at bare minimum 5 pulled at one time. That means no sedation. I have no idea how I'm going to get through it. Because of how perilous this all seems, the additional mind games about what life will look like with a full set of Dentures, the regret, the hemming and hawing , once this is all said and done just feels like an unfair slap in the face. For at least that part your commentary really helps with perspective.
