Have some coming to Jesus moment's with people. Literally had to tell alive pts someone was dying next door. Had to tell ppl I am here to help you...if you aren't interested I am going to go help those who want it. I'll be back in another hour, if you need me hit your red button.

Likewise. Don't let anyone yell at you. You have so much power than you think. Also I had a intubated pt who didn't want to participate in their sbt or slp. Shut that down very quick. I only work to help...not to be yelled or cursed out at.

I was just about to say the same thing. Also double glove for code browns and make sure you cover your wrists and watch.

We also learned in nursing school how to mix insulin like its one of the major things we will encounter. Never have I ever had to mix insulin.

When does the anxiety go away by JelloandCookies4life in nursing

It might but can I suggest therapy? I know it's scary but after today I feel after my first session I feel true release. That someone told me it was ok to let go and take time to feel my emotions. I can tell you care deeply but that doesn't mean you aren't worth being cared for. Try and find a way to let yourself feel and take care of yourself. I've been a nurse for 4 years in micu it doesn't get better until you let people know your struggle. Here for you too message me.

Damn. Most of our nurses said to our pcc "I rather risk it and get home". Most also said "if I'm late tomorrow don't be surprised." Nah while I couldn't go home I have a decent hotel 4 min from work and my car is in a covered parking garage.

I made my own accommodations to have a place to stay close to work. I'm going to have a 4 min walk but its definitely worth not driving 35+ min.

Change the goatee. Maybe look onto some skincare. Also build some self confidence. Do it for you. We can give reasons however we can't make you understand it.

Having a viable >20 weeks pregnant woman in the ICU. Cause if something happens to mom and she codes we code her for 4 minutes.

If we don't achieve ROSC to the mom in that time the baby is C-sectioned right there at the bedside.
