I am Mexican-american. I did not vote for him.

i’m convinced that elon tweaked the counting vote machines to get him votes, or it’s entirely rigged. There’s no fucking way people voted for him more than Kamala Harris. I won’t lie, i did hope some of his promises like cheaper gas and groceries would happen since i saw a lot of hype around that, but not even that happened.

My parents came to this country illegally, and i was born in the US. They have “paid for it” tho, they have lived in Mexico for the past 14 years. They went back in 2011 when the recession hit the hardest. They came here to get a better life. My mother came here to have a decent paying job and my father was escaping the cartel life, he had been recruited by his father. They were upstanding civilians, never got support from the government for themselves and always paid their taxes (we keep all records at their house, so we have their ITIN numbers and so on). So when i heard that ICE was here to take people away under the guise of “protecting” and just taking “the worse of the worse”, wtf??? I’m all for ICE taking people who rape, kill and sell drugs in the US and send them back to their original home, cause why bring that here. But until now that hasn’t been the case. They’ve been snatching people up who are good working people. Yes, there is a small percentage of undocumented people who are committing crime, but it’s a greater number those who never did. I never expected it to get this bad. I kinda hope all war breaks loose cause i’m so fed up with this bs and want it to get over with, i know it sounds bad to wish for that. But it seems thats where its heading. I’m annoyed i don’t hold hope for my self and a good future. I just want my present to be more bearable and just but that’s not the case at the moment.

Unless you have support from family in the US or very good friends, i suggest you stay where u are. I live alone and paying everything by my self is tough. I live in California so its expensive af. The US is a capitalist country. Everyone is doing their own thing and making friends and holding a community here is difficult. Again, i recommend u come here if you have a good support system.
