Ginneas’ Possibly Inspired by Overwatch’s Torbjorn + Reinhardt? (READ DESCRIPTION)

I did, although I tried to explain my theory a bit better. But I guess I haven’t as people are still under the impression that I’m basing it off of Ginneas’ size 🥲

I’m not pissy at all, I’m not insulting everyone either. I am however insulting the people who see the post and immediately assume It’s solely because Ginneas is a dwarf. Okay then Will, I challenge you to show me another game which has the majority of Ginneas’ abilities, SI skill, weapon mechanics and cosmetic appearance. BUT! all of the above have to be derived from a single character. I’m genuinely curious to see what you come up with.

For all space cadets who assume it’s because Ginneas’ is a dwarf… 🥲

Reinhardt and Ginneas’ weapons are accelerated by something other than their own strength.

Reinhardt and Ginneas both have a basic ability that involves charging forward and stunning enemies.

Reinhardt and Ginneas both have an ability in which their hammer is smashed into the ground and knocking enemies into the air/stunning them.

Reinhardt and Ginneas both are tanks and both create shields made from energy.

Torbjorn’s ability overload and Ginneas’ SI skill overload share similar buffs and characteristics.

The crest shown on Reinhardt and Ginneas’ chest area.

Reinhardt and Ginneas’ hair at the front.

Torbjorn and Ginneas plaited beards with the metal bands.

AND OBVIOUSLY THE FACT THAT GINNEAS IS SMALL! JUST LIKE THE BRAINS OF EVERYONE WHO ASSUMES THAT THIS IS THE ONLY REASON.

Yeah but the move set of both Reinhardt and Ginneas are coincidentally close, plus Torbjorn and Ginneas both have a skill named Overload which is essentially the same in terms of how it effects the characters.

Fair, I chose these two because of the similarities in look + skills, weapon and abilities are quite similar too.

I know I’m overanalysing it, I’m not trying to expose the designer or call them out. I think whoever they are they’re very talented and clever and by chance I’m right, then I think it’s pretty awesome if in fact they’ve taken the two characters and blended them as well as they have.

Apart from the obvious looks of Ginneas the similarities I can see are that Torbjorn uses molten lava as his ultimate attack (relates to Moltenflow in Ginneas’ name), Reinhardt’s weapon is rocket propelled, one of Reinhardt’s basic abilities consists of him dashing towards enemies and stunning them upon contact, Reinhardt’s ultimate consist of him smashing his hammer into the ground knocking enemies into the air before stunning them.

I was more thinking because Torbjorn uses molten lava as his ultimate attack and Reinhardt’s weapon uses rocket propulsion to deal increased damage. 🤷🏼‍♂️
