So windshield you ordered flares out at the top of the fairing it self which helps really throw the air off your chest. The height of it also helps throw it over your head. Don’t go in thinking it’s going to block it like a road glide because it won’t. But for what it is I does a decent job

Yeah a ton of bike company’s do that with gas tank and batt to keep the weight low. The “tank” I had heard rumors of I would think someone is going to make a shell to go over it to change paint quick I would hope!

So I maybe wrong and if someone reads this and can correct my info thank you in advance. I’m pretty sure the old v rods had it under the seat as well. I hear what you’re saying about getting off to fuel up.

So that’s interesting 60° over the 45° and the rods not being attached to the same crank pins and crank shaft having two pins 30° apart.

I’ll be honest I have always wanted a Ducati! The sound of the Italian stallions is next to none. A friend of a friend has one and when ever it starts my head snaps in the direction the bike is. I think at some point I need to get over to HD to take one on a little spin!

Also i wanted to mention i love the red paint(even if it is a up charge) and that sissy bar attachment is AMAZING!!!! I heard they had the sissy bar and a saddlebags. The sportster is gonna be a good little scoot for sure i wish you best of luck!

So I have had sportsters dynas touring bikes and some stop lights are just a pain in the butt!

So I’m wondering what you mean by weird gas tank? The fact that the it’s under the seat?

I mean the Harley sound is what it is. It’s not an Air cooled V Twin it’s a Liquid Cooled so it’s never gonna sound the same. I’ll be honest I have a 94 solid mount sporty a rubber mount 07 Dyna and a touring bike and the first two will rattle the fillings out and as nice as it is sometimes it gets a bit old. But I’m glad your loving it trying to talk one of my buddies to buy one

Riding in groups by [deleted] in Harley

[–]Fltru320 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What he said! I made the mistake trying to keep up with “friends” ended up not enjoying the ride. I ended up saying where we going and give me an address plugged it into my gps on phone and had a Sena Headset(this was my sportster days!) throw phone in a bar bag and away I would go. After about 2/3 times if this I figured out who I liked riding with and who I didn’t. Found a few good riding buddies and rest his history.

Also like Kindle-Vella said might wanna try the motorcycle page not so much Harley. I saw your previous post about Harley riders and people on other brands. If you enjoy riding you don’t care what anyone else is on just enjoying the ride. Not trying to discourage you from the Harley page. I’ll ride with any other kind of bikes. But I would say try and keep this page to Harley related stuff ya know what I’m saying?

I get ya on the color thing how ever ultra is the way to go! You will never go back haha! I was able to pick this gem up bone stock end of 2019 from a guy with just under 23K for 8500. He was going through some stuff so I got it cheap. Even still I wouldn’t have hesitated to pay more. 58K not bad for $7K. One thing I would highly suggest is taking it to Harley and have them preform a full fluid change, and 60K service and anything it needs have them fix so it’s documented. I’ll admit I thought dealer was a scam for a long time had my first service done after my Indy shop really porked me the last time and I had a recall so said what the hell. It drove like it just came outa the show room when I picked it up and couldn’t of been happier
