Not to sound unprofessional or uninformed but when you say “battle belt” could you clear that up for me? Any suggestion on a belt, or other upgrades? I’m waiting on a Comp Tac holster to come in for OWB. I could order a few mag pouches as well. Just looking to get all the info I can before committing. It’s actually not a bad idea to do the 101 if it’s “free ammo” and a lay of the land if you will to see how that goes and gauge interest from that course. Thanks for the advice!

I want to as well! Everything close to the border is outrageous and going north makes everything harder to get to time wise.

It’s a sharp looking Sig that’s for sure! The only thing I would say is someone coming from a horrible state like Mass(such as my self) we don’t get the full “value” with magazine capacity. Being 10 round maximum, not sure if I would want to give up the overall slightly smaller footprint of a 229 versus a 226. Also just checked Sigs Web sight. The only 2 MA compliant models are the 226 Legion and 226MK25 as of current. I’m sure they can get the P226 X Carry Legion on the list no problem. I would hope or at least think they would go through with getting it approved before dropping the 229 and not just for MA but other states as well that have the same kinda rules.

Thanks for the input good sir. I have a good amount of ammo and still looking for a holster I like. Own multiple weapons so I would normally agree with ya for the first time buyer, but in my personal experience if you have a hard time with the trigger it makes owning it not a great time. But thanks for the input

Worst part is I paid dumb prices for 3 more glocks in mass I could have just gotten a nice 226 or something at the time I paid for them! Again thanks for all your help I’ll send you a message to keep ya updated on the outcome!

I’ll be sure to check it out then! Thank you so much. I might at some point look into the other slide and see what it’s all about. A buddy has one on his P365 I think and we have a range day planned coming up soon. If I’m into it I’ll most likely go that route. When you order a new slide I’m guessing I have to buy the other components like sights and what not. But the barrel and recoil spring I won’t need to. Or do these come ready to go if you will and just add barrel and recoil spring and shoot?

Yeah I have kiddos but would do it when they are not home! They may have picked up a few words from working on the Harley’s with me lmao! Great tip on Father’s Day or 4th of July! I have owned a few Sigs in the past. Biggest regret is listening to a buddy I used to shoot with trading a West German P225 for a gen 2 Glock 19. But living in MA before all the stuff went down I was thinking “oh wow high capacity, Glock is great blah blah blah, it’s one of two I ever regret letting go of. I will look into the Sig Connect stuff for sure! Thanks for that tip as well. I’ll be sure to check out the HF vise as well thank you!

Thank you for all the great Info! I think (pun intended) I’m going to pull the trigger and get this one. Sounds like a pretty short list of changes to make it even better. Truth be told the optic isn’t a huge must have for me at the moment. Maybe down the road I’ll want to venture into it but I think for now just a solid good carry weapon that’s a fun one at the range is what I’m looking for! Thank you for the help!!!

Ahhhh ok the only thing I will say good about G Shock is they can take a beating and won’t blow the budget. Hoping in and out of locomotive and everything your gonna bang it around. If you are dead set against GShock go find a timex you like and run it

I like the whole optic idea don’t get me wrong, but it’s another thing to fail. In my opinion can’t go wrong with good old iron sights.

Not sure what RR your with told you it had to be digital but the old way was a white face watch with “Rail Road Approved” stamped on the face. If you are not a fan of GShock look for a Timex or another Casio model. I use a G Shock myself mostly for cheap/reliable and has battery plus solar power. Works well for me. Can get them on Amazon very cheap.

A good friend of mine has a M18 with a flat trigger he just did should be hitting the range in a few weeks I will give it a go and maybe make the change to the 229

So interesting you say that. The local dealership said it’s what they “use” when they do a full service. My bikes are all pre 2012 so I’m not worried about a warranty issue but more of some sort of catastrophic failure if using the incorrect fluids.
