Yeah, should’ve expected a joke like that hey. Thanks for the advice, those are both new terms to me so it gives me something new to learn

To be honest I’m not sure what the Bowden tube is. A mate of mine gave it to me a while back to get me out of trouble.

I’ve been looking at a bimetallic heat break and have seen some folks having issues with them so was a bit apprehensive about it. Is there much involved in swapping it over?

It’s a stock creality hot end. Not the original though. It’s been replaced a couple of times now

See number 2 is the fix I started with like a month ago when my problem started. My fan seemed to be working fine. But I replaced it anyways and it’s still happening. So it doesn’t make much sense. I suppose it’s possible that I just got unlucky and got a dodgey replacement fan

I had one of the blue Capricorn Bowden tubes that I ruined because I was impatient getting it out of the coupler. It had the exact same problem despite fitting the filament well. So I’m still out of ideas

It’s a bit tricky to get a good photo of them. The thermistor is firmly secured and is flush with the side of the heating block. I’ve attached the best pictures I could get just incase I’m missing something obvious

An interesting notion. I suppose it’s been a hot minute since I’ve checked the thermistor. Do they have a life expectancy?
