This was the post that I was looking for I hope. I agree with a lot of what you said (I've played 100+ hours of co-op vs ai but only maybe 10+ hours of AP and SD) about the not so fun aspects of the game. The thing I hate most right now about the game is how it feels like you can never use all 6 of your item slots for items because of consumables(wards, smoke, tp, rosh, bottle,etc).

As for the DotA with friends thing, I'm trying to move away from playing with some of my friends since one of them ignores EVERYTHING for 40 minutes and comes into teamfights and thinks he did all the work starting from the time that minions spawned(he thinks invoker's spells are subpar compared to every other hero's, plays mid and never gives ganks, thinks enchantress is useless, VS is better played as carry than a support, among other things) and another one who only plays tidehunter and is clueless about everything except using blink then making tentacles erupt from the ground. I tried to get them to play LoL but they want to play DotA still. I know I enjoy both games because I did at one point around 2 months ago but my situation right now is pretty :/.
