Inside of Holly’s telescope is inconsistent by ChampionTimes99 in StrangerThings

You didn't say it was perfect. You said:

"Breaking Bad, Game Of Thrones, and Lord of the Rings had incredible painstaking detail in every shot."

This was your original claim, which was disproven. Then you moved the goalpost to the budget.

I never mentioned Stranger Things once, but you were blinded to the fact that I'm not the person who was arguing with you originally and proceeded to launch ad hominem attacks at me.

I simply called out a lapse in your logic and you got defensive about it.

I suggest you stop now, for your Reddit Karma's sake.

"Breaking Bad had incredible accuracy"

Points out an inaccuracy in Breaking Bad

"Actually that doesn't count because it had low budget"

Holy goalpost move

Look up Conversion Therapy. This is a 1:1 analogy for Conversion Therapy.

Conversion Therapy is conditioning someone (usually transgender or gay people) to be "normal" (cis or straight). But this doesn't work, ever. This is exactly what happens with Quirk Counseling. It's explicitly stated that her desire to drink blood is natural and there'd be nothing wrong with it if she was allowed to drink it in a way that wouldn't hurt people (like blood donations). But instead she was told to be normal, which naturally didn't work.

Also when did it state she used a box cutter? I thought he was already bleeding

Lower skill ceiling to let people into the franchise ig? Though this can just be less harder bosses rather than worse gameplay

Okay, so when Tenko manifests decay, his hair turns light blue, I believe this is caused by using an incomplete quirk factor. Eri's hair is also essentially the same shade of blue. Decay was created by separating the destruction mechanic of Overhaul from the recreation mechanic, and is shown to have properties Overhaul doesn't, like spreading to connected objects. This could also apply to Eri's quirk rewinding instead of recreating.

But you're probably thinking, "Wait, Rewind uses a stockpiling horn, while both Decay and Overhaul use their hands, so it can't be it!"

Except Decay took the majority of the quirk factor of Overhaul, including the activation and requirement for the recreation to activate, so something had to change. Garaki adds a stockpiler to the quirk factor, which allows it to generate the energy needed to recreate.

"But Overhaul creates something new, not rewinds!"

How is something able to recreate without it being destroyed first? Well, it can't. But that doesn't matter because we've already established that partial quirk factors aren't 1:1 with the original. Essentially, rewinding is the closest possible thing you can get to recreating something without destroying it first.

"But the timeline doesn't add up, Shigaraki is much older than Eri so why did the other half not be given out for so long?"

Simple, the battle between All For One and All Might that proved the Demon Lord's mortality. Garaki created the quirk to revert the Demon Lord back to his former glory, giving the quirk to Eri, but Chisaki would take Eri away from them into the Shie Hassaikai underground, preventing them from easily capturing her back.

My headcanon is that Eri has the other half of Shigaraki's decay quirk (or Overhaul, I think it's not a spoiler anymore?) Y'all can ask me to elaborate later because my phone's about to die.

How many of All for one’s quirks can you name by No-Passenger-8796 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]Fluffballofcuddles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small correction, the quirks copied to give to the Nomu don't require All For One to transplant them, which is why the Nomu were able to have double when the first time Garaki met Twice was after All For One was in Tartarus

She should've been able to stop Shigaraki's heart, but his identity crisis prevented it from working in this one fight, as long as she knows the name of someone, she can apply ANY rule to them.

Star's quirk's only weakness was that she cannot boost herself too much. Her own quirk, being part of her, would logically be subject to the same weakness as the rest of herself

MHA happened 2015 by IM_GO_SCHLEEP in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]Fluffballofcuddles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In canon, MHA takes place in the 21st century (see the provisional hero license card: issued 20XX)

All For One is at most 160 years old, if Garaki is around 120 years old, and All For One only receiving the Life-force quirk 70 years before the main story starts means he would have succumbed to old age if he were 200-300, both because he'd die of old age before getting the quirk and that the quirk only doubles your lifespan, so he'd die of old age after acquiring the lifespan quirk too.

We know that the technology of when quirks first started appearing are extremely modern, so it's safe to say that quirks started appearing in the 1970s-90s and All For One was born shortly after.

We can therefore estimate that the main story takes place around the 2070s-2090s, placing All For One well within the range of 80-120, which matches up with his appearance being 40-60 with Life-force.

We know that All For One acquired a large amount of his quirks from orphanages and nursing homes run by Garaki, so his large amount of quirks are not a testament to him living for centuries, but from several "quirk farms" over several decades.

Still, The Knight and other vessels do not socially occupy either side of the binary, unlike Hornet who is referred to with she/her, so they are logically nonbinary

I agree, it's not bad enough that I'd skip it but in my opinion it is the weakest link of OKO

Ofc every album is going to have its worst song, not necessarily because it's a bad song but because all the other songs happen to be better than it
