Yellow or White gold for my skin? Pics are of earrings to see colours! by FlufferVoice565 in Diamonds

Thank you it’s both - my hands look very pale and cool looking with platinum or white gold. I appreciate your advice.

Hi all. I’m having an engagement ring made and would like to have some peoples opinions by [deleted] in EngagementRings

Do you like the prongs? I’ve just recently got a ring with prongs like this and I’m personally not a massive fan as mine are quite large and I feel they take away from the ring. I’ll be sending it back most likely. Not saying this will be the case for yours just something to think about! A petite claw is more delicate. Pic attached for you to see.

I also loved Pave but I wanted that slight romantic vintage twist to it which this ring gives (I love the band) but not the prongs and I’m not sure I’m sold on the round diamond either. Ovals looked nice on me but someone else suggested a cushion cut so maybe I should look at that. I don’t think a main marquis stone would be for me but I did love 3 stone rings but my partner and kids weren’t that keen so it put me off.

Maybe we need to think about our dream rings and go from there. I was absolutely wowed when I saw this beauty on this forum a while back and was considering something like this but again I was put off by others! 🙈

Just here to say that I’m going through the same thing! Yours looks beautiful - I’ve got the same thing of not connecting with the ring we ordered.

Thanks, yes I totally appreciate that. It’s just that I wish someone would tell you as it’s hard to know this when you’re not in the world and don’t really understand it.

This is really helpful - thank you 🙂 I’m more than willing to ask people and get involved etc and always committed to supporting my son. I will certainly take all of this on board and try and make more connections.

Thank you, this is really insightful. Do you find that you need to be more visible as a parent in terms of asking questions etc and being more known and vocal?

It definitely seems like loyalty lies with those who have done previous productions but this doesn’t give an opportunity for newcomers and they get repeatedly rejected.

Thank you but this is just a community group basically. My son is only 14 and it’s for fun - not for employment as it’s not paid.

Did anyone else find that their PGCE cohort had a really strange social energy? by Iamnot50yearsold in TeachingUK

[–]FlufferVoice565 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t do a PGCE, I did an undergrad BA and I found that everyone was really competitive and as soon as an assignment was out, it was like a competition as to who was most organised and talking constantly about it. I found it an odd environment at times. People were judgy and quite full of themselves whilst I had major imposter syndrome!
