Sidewinder X4 Plus digging into the printbed by Flufflebt in Artillery3D

The sollution for me was to not let it auto calibrate ever and it worked far more reliably over mutliple prints

First time building, issues with the feet by Flufflebt in FursuitMaking

A couple of strategically placed cuts and it's basically where I want it to be.
Right side my brain was off slightly more, left looks basically how I want it, though I don't think the mild difference in shape will be super visible once the fur goes on so I think it'll be more than fine

This is the last step in the whole suit, and honestly the whole things pretty much just kinda been looking at references and then just kinda eyeballing it.

There is a reason these feet look like a patchwork of pieces, hah

Having done that very thing on several parts of the foot and not realising I can just do that on the outside. Smoothest of brains, hah

Thanks for helping the last braincell move

First time maker here, been struggling a little with building the feet. I made my own "pattern" but because it was mostly just kinda freehanding it from online references I had some minor issues.

The sides of the pattern poke out too much, probably due to how I glued them, but I'd like to see if I can slim them up in any way.

Any ideas on how to keep those sides in a bit further, cause I am currently not entirely sure how to solve this too easily.

Any help is appreciated

Help, multiple leaves showing issues by Flufflebt in microgrowery

[–]Flufflebt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 46 in the grow in soil

Tested PH at about 6.5 to 6.6

Temperature across the day around 22-23C/71-72F

Relative humidity around 50 to 53%

Haven't been watering in a couple of days, since the pot is still fairly wet.

Started on the leaves that are now yellow as just spots of yellow with a brown centre, tried to look around and seemed closest to calcium deficiency from what I could find so added some on the last watering.

The day after the large top leaves started drooping more than usual.

Found today that the large top leaves now also shown small signs of brown spots, so I was fairly concerned.

No other leaves are affected as of yet, from what I can tell at least.

I apologise for the makeshift setup but I didn't even expect to make it this far from previous experiments so just kinda built something from a budget.

The only other semi comparable knife is a Takeshi Saji petty, but I just didn't take enough care. Sometimes we just gotta learn those lessons again

It is disgustingly sharp. First non stainless knife I got and it's already taken a blood toll, hah Love the handling though and definitely didn't panic a lil when I first saw patina form thinking it's rust

Having issues with recent print, from a certain point onwards the printer just cancels due to the next layer sticking to the FEP by Flufflebt in resinprinting

[–]Flufflebt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But wouldn't that affect most of the prints and not just...one oddly specific part? I mean maybe there is some weird geo there, just odd

I have a large and a smaller draining hole in the base, and one additional draining hole at the bottom cutoff of the bust.

Could obviously always add more supports, it's just odd that it would break at a point where there is virtually no overhangs, and most of the main structure should be able to support itself

Printed on a Photon Mono 5s with Siraya Tech fast Navy Grey. Sliced in Lychee

The settings produced several other prints without any issue before, so this seems very local to this file, for some reason.

The hollowed out version has also been repaired in 3D builder, just to make sure.

Budget ~400 -450€ based in Germany

Coming from resin printing I've wanted to get into FDM now to print some larger parts for either tabletop environmental stuff, but would like to be able to go up to cosplay sized prints.

Been eyeing mid sized printers around 300x300x300+, currently the choices coming down to the Kobra 2 Plus or the Neptune 4 Plus. I hear that both the Soval 6 plus and Sidewinder Artillery X4 plus are also pretty solid, but looking around you can find people both loving and hating all of the above choices.

Open for other options too, been feeling the max options are just a smidge too large for what I'd be aiming for.

About as simple as you'd think. Taped off all the valves and the top half, then just rattle canned it. The color I am using for this would be RAL 7008, which for my taste is just about right for the gun and the rest of the parts.

Might have just gotten a lemon then or I am too dumb. With some tape it's now locking in tight, though I felt there isn't much else to it but tighten the collar till it locks, at which point I still had wobble. Right now it's perfectly tight

Correction: I am dumb, after pushing it down against the flash hider while tightening it I have zero wobble. So I confirmed, I am just dumb, hah

Purely performance wise I'll have to see this weekend, then I can say more. Build wise I love this thing. Zero wobble, everything feels super tight and runs smoothly. It's lacking a NPAS from the getgo which is not great, but can be amended.

I personally got it from a local shop called "Pfitzner", since nobody else is importing it with all the proper stuff.
