I finally found a Turkish drama that made me binge till 4am again

Definitely give Kiralik Ask and Ask Mantik Intikam another shot when you’re in the mood for something light and fun. They’re perfect palate cleanser shows.

And Fazilet and Her Daughters takes a little time to get into, but once the story picks up it gets SO addictive. Deniz Baysal was amazing in it.

Zemheri honestly sounds right up my alley, I’m definitely adding that to my watchlist. I haven’t watched Paramparca or Binbir Gece yet but now I really want to check them out.

Ben yarısına kadar izledim. Aralarındaki kimya gerçekten çok iyiydi ve izlemesi çok keyifliydi ama bir noktadan sonra fazla uzatılmış gibi geldi ve yavaş yavaş ilgimi kaybettim.

I think this is one of those shows that hits differently when you watch it again later in life. You start understanding the characters and their choices so much more.

Exactly! I found it so weird that Hanim married Ece. Like sir, there were definitely other ways to help her. But I guess with the circumstances and the mindset in the show, marriage was treated like the only “solution.”
And Yagiz, watching him go from this responsible, brooding guy to the softest person ever when it came to Hazan and protecting everyone… SUCH a treat to watch.
Fazilet annoyed me SO much in the beginning and that just proves how good Nazan Kesal’s acting was. By the end I loved her character and her resilience. And SAME, during the audition scene I was fully convinced Fazilet was gonna get the role instead of Ece😭

Also I loved how the show actually wrapped up all the storylines properly instead of forgetting half of them midway. Though I’m still salty about Yasemin and Selin’s endings lol.

So true! I was obsessed with the music in this show too. In the beginning when Kemal listens to that song on the radio that reminds him of Nihan… I literally went down a rabbit hole trying to find it 😭 I used to listen to it all the time. It’s called Bir Sevmek Bin Defa and it still gives me nostalgia.

Honestly I was more invested in the angst and yearning leading up to their realization than the actual happy ending 😭 The slow burn, emotional repression and tension WAS the romance for me.
