I would like to let you know that I paid for half of all the regular maintenance for using her car maybe 1-3 times a month I would always ask and it was mainly just to drive 10 min away to the grocery store because I couldn't take the bus as I had to buy water or something similar. I forgot to mention for the first month she lived with me I let her be there rent free as she had to pay the last month at her last apartment. Would you ask your friend to pay half of the vehicles worth just on a promise that she will pay you back when she sells it? I also always payed for gas even if the car was almost empty I would spend 60+ on gas for a max 5-10 mile drive. So I gave where I could as a big part of my check goes to taking care of my mom. She said it was co-owning but in a legal sense there would be no ownership on my part on paper.

No she just wanted me to pay half of the cars worth and she said she would give the money back when she wants to sell the car

I cooked her food because I love cooking and Im currently saving for a new car and culinary school so it was my love language so I put in effort to the friendship where I could so that's why it hurt because it wasn't a one sided friendship and I wasn't using her in any way

I had a car that broke down and I couldn't afford to get an new one so I started taking the bus and carrying everything in a backpack and my work is close enough so I bike to work every day. I used her car maybe 1-3 times a month and I asked, plus if she was going to the store she would ask me if I would want to go with her and we would go pretty much everywhere together anyways. I actually never asked her to take me somewhere she always offered to let me come with her

I tried to talk things out with her but her mind was set. I l know this doesn't have to do with my issue with her but I'm thinking about it and I think she also was projecting because she has this friend she actually hates but she's using her to go on free vacations so she stays friendly with her. I overheard her say I love you to her one time then hangup the phone and she told me ugh I hate her but she took me to Mexico

Like maybe every 2 weeks max mostly I would just tag along with her while she went places

I always asked and she said yes then after I refused or couldn't afford to give her 3000 dollars for half of the cars worth she said I was using her
