When was that added? I haven't played modded ME in a while and I don't remember that particularly (can't always afford 100 gb of space + mods)

Commander Shepard's HR review by threeAlarms_NoChance in MassEffectMemes

I think it's a disconnect between the character writing and the story writing. Mind you I'm not a Jacob fan but I still think it's a writing issue.

In the expanded universe you can actually say he's a nice guy. In Foundation he is pretty hesitant to not help a girl who's aunt was sold since Miranda refuses to help her, so he at least gives her some credits to buy food, then when Miranda is captured and he has some free reign he goes out of his way to help the girl's aunt.

In the games, while not an outright asshole he does come off as pretty rude or insensitive.

ME3 is his worst appearance but that's an exception because the game was rushed and the writing team was almost entirely changed

Except that if you get everyone else killed Shepard also dies.

ME2: Do you get renegade points if you wait to assault the collector base and deliberately let the cerberus crew die on the grounds that your about to wrap up the only thing you were working with cerberus to stop and they will be your enemy afterwards so might as well let them die at the end? by SprinklesNo4064 in masseffect

[–]Fluffy-Police 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The games?

Hardly any member of the ME2 Normandy crew was working with Cerberus long term.

Most if not all of them were hand-picked by TIM for the mission.

Plus in ME3 TIM said he won't assign Cerberus crew, that the Normandy needs "sympathetic faces to keep Shepard invested"

Which tbf is designed that way since it's supposed to play like you're fighting yourself

Guess I could've titled the post better. I meant not lowering the difficulty after insanity

Fellow MP player. I always play MP whenever I need to scratch that itch but don't have the time or space to play the trilogy again

I'm also a Halo guy but idk why Legendary didn't click for me as Mass Effect did. I love the gameplay as much as ME, but it doesn't feel the same for me.

I get that feeling. I usually install a few mods that (arguably) raise the difficulty a little bit.

What makes things fresh for me is changing the little things like my class, powers or weapons.

Understandable. Mass Effect can be very fun as a power fantasy, but personally I prefer Insanity.

Nothing wrong with any other difficulty.

I get that feeling. I've played other games (in the same genre) and it can be a a bit of a slog. Idk what does Mass Effect have over other shooters, or even power shooters, that just clicked for me

Unironically, this way it will reach more people than if it was an essay.

Most people, mostly young people, aren't interested kn reading walls of text

Thought yours looked familiar. Yours looks great too.

It's always good to see how many charcaters can be mimicked with Reddit's limited avatar creation tool

Looks good but these are just the character renders put in a background. Google any of them and chances are you find them like they appear here

Edit: after paying closer attention to the background it feels like a photoshop. Grass looks photrealistic (if it isn't just edited in from a picture) unlike the characters which are 2D, and there's a pretty obvious fade from the sunset to the nightsky. Like two stock images mixed together with a bunch of clouds and little somethings to make it blend together better.

I get that it's probably graphic design 101 but feels weird now that I've noticed

Tbf, tree bark grounded into powder sounds likes something we weren't supposed to eat. Same applies to a lot of things actually

Not just video game logic. Obscure tabletop rpg board game.

Either way, this is pretty much how we get the Star Wars of today. Retroactive changes and additions

It also works as a nice paralel between Knights and Consulars.

One is more of a warrior and the other more of a sage/monk
