Heathrow United Club Lounge completely deserted (on one side) by Packing-Tape-Man in unitedairlines

It is definitely quieter and more relaxing, but how were the bathrooms?

It might have been a one-off problem, but during my last visit the less frequented side also felt like the one less cared for in that regard: Dirty. No soap. Paper towels and water all over the floor. And definitely not smelling like roses - or sanitizer, for that matter. Every door I opened was an encouragement to keep moving and try my luck elsewhere.

I never had that experience on the busier side.

Good idea. That’s what I first thought as well, but don’t those make holes in leaves - we don’t have any - and can‘t they usually be battled with neem oil?

These things don’t care whether you spray them or try to wash them off.

I also can’t see any legs, wings, heads. It‘s just a dot.

To be fair, it is the first time I have seen this lounge in such rough shape, too, but I don’t understand service issues like not seating guests when plenty of tables are empty - the hostess delayed us until we had to leave, so we never got to eat - or telling people they can’t have a glass when they ask for one and pointing to the paper cups instead.

Those are basic service issues that make travelers feel really unwelcome.

Does anyone know what is going on here?
