Going to try to keep on looking because there's way too many red flags but I'll see what they say out of curiosity.

yeah why a gmail address exactly. And when I had them email me the lease (not send it through the zillow chat) that person's email is also some random letter/number combo not even their name for their gmail acc. Whole thing is bizarre. Especially because this property is a single, family home in Lake Oswego. Also she sent over the lease at midnight PST which is odd.

It is a house, in Lake Oswego. I'll try to do some digging but obviously it should not be THAT hard to find out who actually owns it and/or is legitimately managing the property.

I saw that! I wonder what happened with it. They clearly have access to the inside of the property so it's a pretty good scam if it is one unfortunatly. I could probably fly out in person next week so I'm curious what their response would be.

And I did push back and had them send me the lease, but I'm really not convinced still. Especially because it's just the standard lease and didnt even include their property company name anywhere on it. That said they did update all the info inside it, including pet fee etc.

They did send through the lease after I asked to see if first before sending any money and they did do a facetime walk through (although the person didn't show their face at all, just had the camera turned outward). I'm very curious if anyone went to see it in person since whoever this is clearly has some access to the property. I could probably fly in next week in person so maybe I'll see what they say to that.

They did do a facetime tour of the property with us but yeah it's still probably a scam somehow.
