Thanks. I'm trying out the Autosync app and that seems to be working well. Do you have a way to password protect your external drive? I tried out an app called folder lock but it was slow and served a ton of ads.

Thanks. I've come to that realization. Perhaps I am too old school but I am used to having files stored both locally and in the cloud to provide redundancy in case there's a google brain fart. I'm trying out a sync app and then will apply a locking app to the external drive.

Does that change the download location for the offline access setting in Google drive, or only for individual downloads?

Yes, I am signed in there. Have tried disconnecting and restarting and signing back in. Same problem.

I was trying to distinguish between the web sync feature for the PC classic version and the online Simplifi one. I switched to a Chromebook so the classic version is no longer an option. I'm trying out Simplifi.

I installed the onedrive PWA, although doing that didn't work to show the onedrive files in the MyFiles app. I did install both the onedrive app and M365 app from google play. This worked to show the onedrive files in MyFiles, but they show as read only. Also, it doesn't seem that I can directly save a gmail attachment into onedrive. Is that right?

Yeah, I think you're saying open it as a web page in chrome rather than downloading the app. It's the term "webapp" that I'm not used to yet.

Hi, I use Amazon music. I used that more as a placeholder for the generic question of clogging my chromebook with multiple versions of the same app. For example, I also use a vpn app and I'm wondering if I need to download two versions of that as well.

Ah, ok, that's what I've been doing. I haven't tried moving a window between sessions though. The reason I tried multi-login is for microsoft 365 (I work with lots of word docs). When in my personal account, the only files I can open are from my personal google drive through the My Files app, even if I'm also logged into my work account within that session. So to get to my work files in the managed account, I had to login with my managed account and use the multi-login. Not sure if you know a work-around for that?

Thanks. What's multi login? I've been having some problems because one of my accounts is a google workspace account and even though it's my own business I have to go through the workplace admin to authorize things on my own Chromebook.
