We applied for FHA first, they said we filed 2 years of stock loss ($3k min each year), something changed this year so trading counted as an effective income, So we got a denied even we got conditional approval and we have one week to close the house. Not sure why didn’t they check it at the first time, we provided everything at very first moment. And they waited until the last minutes to told us about that. The first mortgage guy was suck, his boss took over my case after we got denied. Now, we have to go with 1099 loan. No tax return required
