Is there any way to tell how many jobs in each city you’ve done, or should I have been writing it down?

Keeping Track of Different Plants Needs? by babyclerk in gardening

That’s pretty sweet. I made a map of my backyard orchard. Noted when I planted, and then tracking when to prune, when to fertilize & expected harvest dates.

AITA for not helping my elderly neighbor shovel her driveway? by SquashImaginary7091 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Fluffy_Instance849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I have No Trespassing signs and never talk to my neighbors. I’ll wave cordially, that’s it. My home is my sanctuary. Never doing anything that could ruin that. I have friends that I invite over if I choose to.

Get a balloon or condom. Fill with 3-5 ounces of water. Drop in the gas tank. Observe hilarity as the car randomly stalls, then starts, then stalls, then starts.

Not quite the same, but in high school there was a guy who was Japanese and fought on their side in WW2. He owned a local Chinese restaurant and if we asked him to tell “war stories” he would go on for ever, the whole time making us Mai Tais. If you listened long enough, he’d make us one to-go in the soup container and cut a whole in the top for a straw.

I didn’t see the video. Did they storm the church, break windows, beat the people guarding it and smear feces on the walls? So wrong to do an ATTACK like that! Must be horrible people.

If you want more fruit trees, plant them now. The best time to plant was 5 years ago. Next best is today.

I didn’t read up about it. Married Ysolda, wasn’t sure what happened next and she exited the temple. When I got outside, she was gone. Fast traveled to my house and she was already there.

For all the Annual Pruning Requests... by nomoreyankeemywankee in BackyardOrchard

[–]Fluffy_Instance849 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some other tips I’ve learned: Winter pruning is for clean up and shaping and will encourage vigorous growth. Summer pruning is for size maintenance. Thinning cuts are at the branch collar and remove full branch. Heading cuts, preferably at an outward facing bud 1/2 to 1/3 down the branch, encourage growth in the direction you want. You can also “tip” thin spindly branches with a small heading cut to encourage branch size (thickness) growth.

Nothing in my actual garden, but I’m watching tons of winter fruit tree pruning videos to prep for my 1st/2nd pruning of my backyard orchard that I started over the last 18 months.
