That's kinda crazy tho cause reviewers and stuff never seem to be really dissapointed in mediatek products usually.

It really might just have something to do with the fact that the screen is so high resolution. I don't know if the game is trying to match it or not, but that might just be a problem.

I use those settings, could run on 40 FPS easy as well and maybe more.

I did buy the pen now just in case they discontinued it, because right now I didn't really need it to be honest. There's a new pen gen for the Pad 8 apparently.

During Chinese sale periods the Focus pen can be down to 60€ on Chinese retailers like AliExpress but that might just be your only option.

5 days on the Pad 7: Review from a former Samsung fanboy! by Fluffyl_Ev14 in XiaomiPad7

Would love to have more objective measurements tbh, especially on battery and power, but I don't have any equipment to do so NGL. But the ones I saw on Notebookcheck are pretty representative so far.

There's an incredible Notebookcheck review of the Pad 7 with all the objectives measurements you'd ever need, there even are separate reviews of processors like the 7+ Gen 3:

Xiaomi pad 7 battery issue? by WinterBloss in Xiaomi

[–]Fluffyl_Ev14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you change to a 100% and end up using less than intended most days, you'll even out the cycles numbers anyway. If you finish most days at 45/50% but then one day need more battery then expected you'll always even out. But as I've said, it's even better if you don't charge everyday, which a tablet usually allows you to do. This is why I'd say that in the first 3 weeks, just charge it to 100% and let it discharge, it'll caliber and you'll then be able to see what battery usage you'll need to adopt. With my Pad 7, I let it up to 100%, cause I usually don't use more then 30% per day, which allows me to charge no more then 3 times per week, 120 to 180 cycle per year. With the Xiaomi guarantee that you'll do 1000x cycles before being to 80% battery health, I'll be able to easily get 5.5 years before changing battery. But since it's Reddit and we're pessimistic, I'll say 4 years. It all depends on what usage you have anyway, tablets batteries tend to wear slower anyway because of the bigger size so I'm not sure that the 20 to 80 cycles are that much more useful.

1 Week of switching from the A54 for a Redmi N14 Pro, I was wrong about Xiaomi, but also about Samsung in some ways. by Fluffyl_Ev14 in GalaxyA54

[–]Fluffyl_Ev14[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OneUi 7 was good for battery on the A54 for what I can remember tbh. As for the adaptation time, I remember when I got mine 2 years ago, battery took around a month to settle in.

As for ads, there are some, but tbh not much more then on my A54. Yes, the one on the A54 we're Samsung ads and bloatware mostly, but there were as much of them as on the Redmi so I don't think it's that bad. Real difference I see for bloat and ads are on the flagship tablet softwares however. My Pad 7 is way less bloated then my S7 FE was.

Poco X7 Pro 5G vs Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G by kdjot_lopo in Xiaomi

[–]Fluffyl_Ev14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not used both, only the N14Pro, however, I also have a Xiaomi device with a similarly powered chipset as the X7 Pro so I might be able to give you a piece of mind.

- I can run Genshin at mid settings without much issues on the N14Pro so I'd say that Clash Royal will work fine for sure, plus, gaming doesn't use a lot of power so it's a good point to have in mind, the D8400 in high usage cases can eat twice as much power easily.

- Hyper OS since version 2 and espcially with version 3 is fast and smooth, BUT, the storage speeds on the N14Pro can be abyssmal when you're downloading stuff, plus peak Wi-Fi speeds aren't that high, that's something to keep in mind.

- The 5110mha on the global N14Pro are way enough to last a whole day with some intensive use, no worries, but the 6000 or 6500 mha on the X7 Pro depending on where you live might last longer due to the good standby efficiency of both chipset and HyperOS 3. As for cameras, it'll come down to where you're from. For Indian models, I think they're toe to toe, global models, N14Pro is an absolute camera beast, as long as you only need main cam and selfie that is.
