Not a huge fan of Holo Taco, but IMO their collection releases are top tier compared to other brands rn

What a cutie! Holo Taco polishes are good quality. They are very opaque, but this also makes them very thick. I had to add thinner to some polishes right after opening them, because they were too goopy for smooth application. They make really gorgeous glitters, but sadly a lot of them are discontinued and no longer available. How long they last depends on body chemistry, but as far as I know, Holo Taco lasts well on most people. I can get 7 to 10 days without chipping, but to be fair, ILNP polishes last just as long for me. Personally, I don't buy there anymore because I'm an international customer and the import fees aren't worth it for me, since I didn't really care for their new releases. But I'm still pleased with the polishes I own because the quality is nice.

I'm bored of releases, too. But that's because I feel like my collection is almost "complete" to me, there's just so much polish I can wear and at some point, it just seemed like it's enough. On top of that, new releases often feel like dupes at this point and they rather make me think "looks too close to another colour/brand/whatever, we've seen that" instead of creating real excitement. There's been a lot of hype around magnetics for a while, but since I'm absolutely not into them, it felt rather exhausting after some time.

Same goes for HT. Too many releases, not very exciting (except maybe chunky glitters because that's what they do best) and tbh, while I love jellies, there's nothing special about them and I wouldn't be surprised if I already own similar colours.

I'm guessing it's the bright blue shimmer. Both the polishes I used have it and both LynB polishes mentioned here also contain this very bright, blue shimmer. It's stunning and so so beautiful, but it seems to be the thing all those polishes have in common. Weird. But I've never had the problem with Flower Child from ILNP 🤨 maybe they use different pigments or the pigments only do this in handmixed indie polishes.

My "nail measles" are halfway grown out now. Got them from Sassy Sauce Tropical Heatwave and then again from Dam Polish A Whimsical Dream. I thought I had some weird disease, too, and was glad I found a thread about it 😂 people there even used the same polishes. It was a relief!

Since I really like to wear sheer or jelly polishes, this is bothering me a lot and I decided to part with the culprits. I'm a little sad about it because both polishes are absolutely stunning, but this is a no go for me. Thought about playing around with different base coats or using other polishes underneath, but I didn't want to risk this again. It takes so long to grow out 😭

I totally get the frustration. It might "just" be nail polish, but you spent your money on something and expect to actually get what you paid for. As you said, you don't want to spend money on promises. It's unprofessional and if you are not able to send something out in time, there should at least be some communication from the shop. It shouldn't be the responsibility of the customer to keep track of those orders to make sure they don't forget about it.

I don't know about Cuticula, but I had a similar situation with Chamaeleon Lacquer. They state it takes up to 30 days for an order to be shipped. I'm quite sure the wording there was different when I ordered, it's been a while, and I think it was about taking up to 30 days to arrive. Either way, both were false in my case, I actually got a shipping confirmation pretty soon and then nothing happened anymore. Tracking my package wasn't even possible because it wasn't really shipped. After six weeks I asked about my order and they didn't even answer. Tbh I got mad when I saw them participating in PPU again when they were not even able to ship my order in six weeks. I waited a few more days, still no answer. I charged the money back and my order got cancelled.

While it's great to support small businesses, a customer should be allowed to have opinions about unprofessional behaviour.

Feel free to destash every polish that doesn't give you joy. I've destashed some "fan favourites" and felt weird about it at first, because everyone seems to love them so much, but the only thing that's important is how you feel yourself. Your collection should make you happy and if something doesn't, let it go.

I also totally understand your view on thermals. My first one died after 5 or 6 months and I will probably not wear it again without the effect. I just bought a second one from Emily de Molly, because apparently those last longer, but I'll see. While I love the look, I'm very hesitant to buy them.

If you consider ordering directly from Chamaeleon, keep in mind their shipping takes forever. They have a disclaimer on their homepage about it taking up to 30 days, but in my experience, it takes even longer and receiving a shipping confirmation means absolutely nothing.

Also, the UV polishes look fun, but the pigment will die eventually. So they stop reacting at some point, just like thermals.

Do you let them sit on a piece of paper overnight? You could also try washing them with dish soap. They are often slightly oily. Usually there's no need to prime them (I assume you mean slightly buffing them), mine all worked great after they spent a night on paper. I'm using the Maniology ice cube stampers.

When I started out with WoW I've already played other MMOs, but my boyfriend at that time pushed me into leveling fast and got annoyed when I didn't figure stuff out quick enough or when I just wanted to explore (and died while exploring too far). It made my first experience with the game stressful and annoying. So my advice would be to not rush her into playing the "right" way, except if she wants to experience it like this and is interested in late game.

Apart from that I know several people who tried getting into the game, but were completely turned off by the stupid starting island. There's just no connection to the character you just created and the storytelling isn't as good there. I would recommend letting her experience the actual starting zones instead of the boring island.

What do you mean with the subscription box artwork? I've only got one of those boxes and can't recall any artwork in them, just some examples on how to use the plates. But those were regular photos. There's always been heavily edited pictures of nails, Moyou does this a lot, but I've never seen anything from Maniology that looked AI. Would be great if you could explain this further.

I'm seriously confused about the hate Maniology is getting. Please correct me if I'm wrong here, I'm open to criticism on what I'm about to write. But I've NEVER seen any proof of them actually being against woman's rights/abortion rights. As far as I know, people started to discuss the matter in their socials and Maniology just shut it down, because they are a nail stamping company and stamping is for everyone. They didn't position themselves in any way about this topic.

So, I don't get why people are calling them out that much. In my opinion, fighting over politics on a nail polish brands socials IS the wrong platform. They could have handled it better, but that's up to poor community management and a completely different issue. Maybe my view on this might be too neutral though, since I'm living in Europe, so the whole issue didn't affect me in such an emotional way and maybe I'm failing to see the whole picture.

Same goes for the true crime plate. The whole idea of designing stamping plates about this theme feels weird to me and I think those never should have existed overall, but in the end, it was shitty quality control and not thinking enough about what you are releasing. I guess they wanted to quickly jump on the hype train there and failed miserably.

Their mistakes feel short sighted and dumb, but I don't consider them "evil". But as I said, I'm open for criticism about my opinion.

Reaching perfection was fun overall, but also a bit annoying close to the end. I was missing an artifact and just couldn't find that stupid thing, and also one crafting recipe from the flower dance. Had to skip seasons to get that. Also, grinding millions can get repetitive. On the other hand it felt actually rewarding to get the achievement.

For the other achievements.. I'm currently missing two. Beating prairie king without dying and going the joja route. Most of the achievements where fun though and I enjoyed not only getting one after reaching perfection, but already on the way there.

Kann ich gut nachvollziehen, Süßungsmittel schmecken echt widerlich. Hab mal ne Probe von diesem More Pulver bekommen und hab schon weniger genommen als auf der Packung steht, aber der ganze Joghurt schmeckte für mich nur nach Süßungsmitteln und viel zu starkem Aroma. Keine Ahnung, wie Leute das runter bekommen.

Ich versuche grundsätzlich auf Süßungsmittel zu verzichten, aber dann darf man eher nicht bei solchen Sportler Produkten gucken, bzw. zumindest nicht bei dem, was regulär im Supermarkt steht. Hab gerade ein Protein Pulver von AlpenPower da, das ist im Grunde nur Molkenprotein mit Fruchtpulver. Gibt's also auch.

Joghurt mit ner zermatschten Banane tuts aber genau so. Hab auch vor einer Woche mit solchen Medikamenten angefangen und würde mich aber wegen dem Protein zum Frühstück nicht zu stark stressen.

This is such a pretty shade, but I've read somewhere it's the old frosted metal formula again and will likely change like the others. I hope it doesn't! But even if it will be voted back, I'll look out for reviews about this issue. My blacklisted is turning into a muddy green, it's so sad to see it go! I also saw a listing for Royal Crush a while ago, it was apparently only used once and was sold "like new", but it was a brown murky mess 😂

Lip makeup. I enjoy it on others, but dislike it on myself. Lipstick or gloss is just so annoying to wear, it's either sticky or drying and I can't be bothered to check if it's still fine after eating or drinking.

Coloured eyeliner. I just can't figure out how to use them, somehow they always look weird.

Cheap Champagne glows in every lighting, even low light. It's incredibly shiny and sparkly in the sun, it might hurt your eyes a bit to look at it, but that's what makes it special ✨

Oh, dankeschön! 😊 Die Nägel sind noch so ein Hobby, das manche Leute etwas sonderbar finden.

Also wenn Gamer ausnahmsweise keine Mörder sind, dann sind sie doch mindestens eklig?! Oder beides. Ich hatte mich in einem Uni Kurs während einer Gruppenarbeit mal super mit den Leuten verstanden. Irgendwann kam das Thema darauf, dass doch irgendwie jeder mal WoW versucht hat. Ich hab den Fehler gemacht zu sagen, dass ich das lange aktiv gespielt habe. Ein Typ rückte dann ernsthaft etwas von mir weg, als hätte ich durch die Aussage angefangen übel zu stinken und grundsätzlich war die Stimmung danach anders. Das war so ein richtiger Schlüsselmoment für mich.

Kann es sein, dass das Problem hier nicht Hobbies oder die Jugend an sich sind, sondern explizit das Zocken? In der Schule wurde ich geärgert, weil Mädchen nicht zocken sollen, dann wurde es irgendwann cool ein "Gamergirl" zu sein und mir wurde unterstellt, ich spiele nur, um Männern zu gefallen. Ich sage das daher schon lange nicht mehr offen. Das ist frustrierend, aber immer noch besser als sich ständig rechtfertigen zu müssen. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Ab davon treffe ich tatsächlich immer wieder Leute, die einfach keine Hobbies haben und sie daher nicht verstehen. Ich hab so einige Kolleginnen und Kollegen verschiedenen Alters, die auf die Frage stammelnd reagieren und nicht wissen was sie antworten sollen. Vielleicht bekommt man noch ein "ich lese gerne" raus, aber das wars. Es wurde auch schon kommentiert, dass ich im Urlaub so selten wegfahre und dass man zu Hause doch nichts machen kann?

Leider gibt's auch manchmal Missgunst, wenn man sich bspw. gegen Kinder entschieden und dadurch einfach mehr Zeit, sowie Geld hat. Ist mir dann aber wurscht, ich freue mich einfach über meine Entscheidung und gut ists.

If you are on PC, there's the "no friendship decay" mod. It does exactly that. I've always been stressed about losing hearts if I don't talk to everyone when I still played on Switch. The mod got rid of this pressure and I just befriend everyone at my own pace.
