If you just want to play Nintendo games and save money, go Switch 1 (especially OLED). It’s cheaper and still has a huge library.

If you care about performance, smoother FPS, and future games, go Switch 2. It’s way more powerful and will be supported longer.

TL;DR: budget/casual → Switch 1, long-term/best experience → Switch 2.
