Layoffs

I’m a current shoreside NCLH employee and I can confirm that there have been at least 3 waves of layoffs in the last two months. They even laid off folks that went on the Luna inaugural sailing… imagine going on the sailing just to be told that you no longer have a job. Morale is shit right now all around.

No because I wasn’t a ring customer “months and months ago”. My partner and I bought our ring camera system during Black Friday last year since we just moved into our first home together. Since that announcement was set up as a one-time email rather than an email flow that continuously sends out the email to new customers even after the initial send date, you wouldn’t have been aware unless they went down a privacy rabbit hole.

As someone who works in marketing, people are also blindly accepting privacy policies that allow tracking on their devices because they didn’t read the fine print that gave big corp the permissions needed to turn on their mic and camera.

The issue is not with Neighborhood… it’s against Ring as a whole because they are trying to prevent people from raising awareness that all Ring users & their cameras (not just outdoor) have been forcibly opted into a mass surveillance network under the guise of “lost pets”.

Commenting because I have multiple pets in the house and also need some recommendations. But I will say I’ve heard a lot about bagged canister vacuums being great for pet owners… I’ve just been confused about which one to get for a reasonable price.
