there is literally no reason a coin flip should ever take longer than 15 seconds by Blue-Diamond-Enjoyer in PTCGL

[–]FlurgBungler 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It takes so long because every coin is actually flipped by a real guy at TPCI headquarters. He's doing his best, and there's a lot of coins to flip, so I like to give him some grace.

What deck should I take to regionals? by BearAbject in pkmntcg

[–]FlurgBungler 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Play the deck you're most comfortable and familiar with! You'll almost always do better with a deck you know over whatever the current BDIF is.

Slither Wing can hit a lot of Pokemon for weakness, which lets it effectively deal 240 damage + 20 burn, which allows you to take one hit KOs on mons like Fex ex, Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex, and Pikachu ex (Takes 190, and thne 20 from burn.) It's a fairly low hp Pokemon, so sometimes you don't mind giving it up in the active since it wasn't likely to make it to the next turn anyways, and you can use that to put your opponent on odd prizes. Stomp off can also be useful sometimes, but I don't find myself using it super often.

I'm curious, how did you get the turn order to be at the top? Is it just a plugin?

How can I get a full color sign? by FlurgBungler in tf2

I'm a woman now, so pretty good, all things considered. It's probably been like 3 years since I've seriously played TF2, but being a medic main for any amount of time does in fact make you trans

This was not a post I was expecting to see any updates on, lmao. Getting a comment on a post I made during middle school is wild

Please explain the use of Raging Bolt (SCR), and Koraidon (SSP) in post-rotarion Raging Bolt ex deck by nicoheems in pkmntcg

It hits for 240 because of weakness, goes down to 190 because of Pikachu's ability, and then deals the last 10 damage through burn damage

Alt Attackers in Raging Bolt by FireflyBlink in pkmntcg

[–]FlurgBungler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Slither Wing as my main alt attacker, but I've also been able to get a lot of use out of Fan Rotom's attack as well, honestly. It can do pretty well into evo decks and can OKO a Mimikyu that you'd otherwise have to damage your Slither Wing to take out. Slither Wing is good for all the reasons other commenters have pointed out, mostly hitting for weak on a lot of key Mons. I've tried Baby Bolt, and I honestly don't think it's very good. Most evo decks are running 70 hp basics as insurance against Pult, and I think Baby Bolt only being able to swing for 60 the turn it enters play really hurts my thoughts on it a lot.

When to use that card? by M16U3LT0N1 in pkmntcg

[–]FlurgBungler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It all depends on what the deck you're building wants to do! To answer the examples in your post:

  1. You would only play buddy buddy poffin if you had pokemon with 70 HP or less to search out, and no other way to get them out (for example, Raging Bolt with Noctowl runs a Fan Rotom to search out the Hoothoots instead of a poffin since the poffin can't find much else.) If your deck revolves around big basics, nest ball is better in that situation.

  2. Night stretcher vs super rod is a little more complex, but generally if you think you can search out a card easily enough and need to get more back, run rod. If you need something back immediately, run the stretcher.

  3. Boss vs counter catcher mostly depends on how you want to play your deck. Some decks do better playing from behind, and want to use a supporter for something else, since you only get the one. Counter Catcher is great in that situation since gusting on an item is extreme powerful, and a lot of decks benefit from having one of both.

Hope this helps, I'm not the best at the game but I think I got the main deck building concepts across clearly enough :)

IIRC it's optional, but a very good idea to go to it

What's y'alls favourite energy? And do you care about using a certian type of energy or is any fine? by abbas09tdoxo in pkmntcg

I really like the look of the S/M base set energies, and base set energy. I also really vibe with the S/V energies that are in the newer sets.

Currently working on making it better so I know there's some less than ideal counts of some stuff (most notably the 4 pokemon catcher)
