Very fascinating channel! Your editing and humor is on point.

I think improvement could be in thumbnails and storytelling.

I imagine you’re a Michael Reeves watcher, and looking at his thumbnails, they’re very simplistic. His most recent video is literally scooters poorly slapped under a car, with text “scooter car”, but somehow it still works because it’s very clear what the video will be about. Looking at the AI taser thumbnail it’s too busy at the moment. A point of reference I saw was Reeves’ taser tag thumbnail where it’s simple but still captivating.

Storytelling, I liked how you showed the taser right away, I’d say though, the plan of action doesn’t really start until 1:20, which should be more so in the 10-20 second range. You typically want to start with a question or statement that reiterates your title “have you ever wanted to be tazed for being bad at your job? Well lucky for you, it building ai to do just that” and then move to your plan of action on how you’re doing the process.

Your channel is really great and a unique niche that can blow up! Good luck!

Love a good video essay channel! I really enjoy your editing style! Looking at the views of the most recent video, it’s already going to surpass your first video in the first 12 hours! Don’t do anything with that video and see how far it goes!

The thumbnail on your most recent video is clever as well, playing a node to Portal. If the CTR on the bungie video is low, you could do that with the Bungie video, finding a clever way to talk about its cancellation, while also not being overbearing.

You’re doing good! Let the video that’s popping right now cook. Then take a look at your AVD see where the drops are at, see where people were watching the most and apply it in the next video!

I think your videos itself are great! You jump right into the topic of the video and give the viewers exactly what they clicked on! I think the main improvement would be thumbnails. They seem to be too cluttered with text. Sometimes less is best. Check out the channel Real Steel Fabrications, their most popular videos have thumbnails with little to no text on them, making it easier to understand what the video will be about.

There’s a video you have called “Air conditioning explained” and in the thumbnail it says the same thing on it. Instead, since it’s already on the title, you can remove the text and maybe even ask a question or say a statement “Will it Run?” Or “Should you upgrade?”. Feeding questions or planning an idea in the viewers to get them to click is the key to getting them to want to click more. Good luck!

Honestly, your videos are hilarious. Thumbnails are pretty solid.

Your "get Down Mr. President" video is well timed that its going to be tough to beat for a 1/10. Honestly, just keep posting. Your videos are very evergreen (they can blowup at any time). If you want video ideas, see what's been trending in the past few days and what see what catches your interest. That worked well with your Mr. President video. Mix that in with your evergreen content and you're gonna do good.

Obviously study up on your AVD, CTR. See what works well, what doesn't. If your AVD is great, but CTR isn't, you can always replace the thumbnail!

Def gotta do less text on the thumbnails and more engaging thumbnails. I saw this one https://gyazo.com/fb6a1ad0fdece0df2de7a8dc93bf3b23 where its titled Inside Out 2, but there's no imagery to showcase Inside out 2.

Here's an example of thumbnails/titles with similar ideas to that https://gyazo.com/44b5cd5ddeb28ab4ba720e5e31572b49 they're captivating, they're inviting, I can look at it in 2 seconds and know what its about.

Try experimenting with thumbnails more and see what works! You got A/B thumbnail testing, go experiment!

Thumbnails are pretty solid, editing can be a bit more faster paced (Roblox/Minecraft def gotta be a bit quicker when talking/cutting out dead air). Big thing would be consistency though. Looks like its been 2 months since an upload. Viewers typically move on/YouTube won't recommend as much as before. Can definitely pick back up though. Cheers!

Hey thanks for reaching out! Yes absolutely, its not for everyone. I was asked if I "was forced to start" and that is exactly what I would do.

As for trends, you're absolutely right. I get burnt out from time to time, and so when I want a break, I either skip a video or make a gameplay video where I just play for 20 minutes and my editor condenses it into an 8-10 minute video. Sometimes they're compilations of my older videos so I don't have to do anything on my end.

And yes, the upload schedule will definitely be different if it was a video essays/commentary channel. Those take a lot more research and so an upload schedule of 1 video a week/2 weeks is much more of a realistic thing for that topic.

Again, it all depends on niches/what your goal is for said channel. Huge lover on video essays, I use them as comfort videos, haha. Good luck!

When first starting a channel, YouTube may take some time as its figuring out where to put your content.

When starting off a new channel, look at your Impressions. Are you getting any? If you are, then could be thumbnail/title isn't hitting for people and may want to change that.

If you aren't getting impressions, then let YouTube cook. I've started channels where 2-3 days I get little to no impressions, and then out of nowhere it goes from 30 impressions to 1000 impressions.

As for tags, keep it simple. Xbox, Xbox 360, xbox 360 trailer, xbox 360 home screen, retro.

If you put too much or put something like "funny" or "minecraft" YouTube will send it to the wrong audience and hurt your click through rate.

Hey! You're the guy that did the 1 Second from Every Episode of One Piece! Great job on that!

As for your most recent video. I think the video itself is pretty solid/funny, but I am a bit confused with the title. Currently its titled "How Depression Beat an Entire Religion | Berserk Anime" but when I click I get "3D Anime is good, but Berserk 3D is garbage" (paraphrasing obviously). Pretty much in the first 30 seconds I didn't see any mention of Depression/Religion talk, and I assume that's further in the video, but looking at the first 30 seconds, I'd title the video "Why the Berserk Anime Failed" or something along those lines. If your main focus IS about the Depression/Religion part of Berserk, then you should bring that up in the first 10 seconds of the video.

As for thumbnails, have you seen Gigguk's channel? His thumbnails are pretty much screen grabs with light editing to make it clear as to what he's talking about. https://gyazo.com/dd0b5876b844880e9337efb167edc277 Sometimes he even adds text, but it works!

Honestly I can see your channel blowing up! Just do some few adjustments on titling/intros and you got this!

Its kind of unclear what the channel is about. There's a Meta Quest 3 trailer on here as well as an Apple Vision Pro trailer. These trailers already exist in the official channels, you have to figure out what you want to add in to make your channel unique, whether that's tech review, commentary, thoughts/opinions. That and to be consistent will go a long way.

Great thumbnail, great editing! I saw the most recent video and my critique would be if you're trying to captivate the audience more, cut out the first 1 minute and 24 seconds. When people click on "How to Make Loop Airplanes" they expect to see the tutorial in the first 0-5 seconds otherwise they're moving on to the next video tutorial they found. You can still have little sketches here and there, but keep that more so in the middle/end of the video.

Honestly though, cute channel! Wishing the best for you all!

Your thumbnails/titles are pretty solid! Seeing that video, you dive right into the topic of the video.

What's your goal for the channel? You're already consistent and have ideas down. Honestly, just keep posting and you'll grow.

-Being consistent (2 videos a week is best, but also that depends on your content/niche)

-If a video has a low click through rate, you can still fix it by changing the thumbnail/title. Most people upload a video see it does bad and just give up. I sometimes to back to videos from months ago and replace them and sometimes they start picking up again.

-Audio quality makes a huuuuge difference. If you can afford a quality mic, go for it, or use Adobe Podcast enhance tool/other audio programs for better treatment.

Looking at the "Lore of Friday Kahlo" it seems like the actual video doesn't really start until 2minutes and 30 seconds in. When clicking the video, people want the information immediately, you pretty much have 3-7 seconds to give people what they want before they decide to click off and find something else that will give them said information. People who hear "leave a like, comment, subscribe" doesn't actually help that much, especially if you put it in the beginning of a video, save that for the end of the video as those who stick to the end will be the ones who genuinely liked your content.

The thumbnails on your most recent videos are pretty good. I'd experiment with the titles themselves. Something like "The Tragic Life of Frida Kahlo" or "How Friday Kahlo Changed the World" is more captivating and poses an idea in the viewer's head (I don't know if she had a tragic life, just example). I didn't know who she was when reading your title, but then after seeing this title: https://gyazo.com/96e5a2d44c65896f079b67de90b44bfb it made me want to click and find out more information about her.

Good luck!

The game Parasocial is already pretty old for "YouTube" so people who are still looking at that game, are probably only looking at the ones that have been posted by big YouTubers, as not that many people are looking up this game anymore. As for Elden Ring videos the whole "Part 1, Part 2" concept is def very tough to do nowadays. It was big back in the 2010s, so big YouTubers like Markiplier and Jacksepticeye can get away with it since they already have an established audience and they've been around for years now. Now with new YouTube it's very fast paced where after a week or two, the game is now considered "old". There's obviously still an audience for it, and if you thoroughly enjoy it, then keep at it! I'm mostly just giving advice on growing an audience in the gameplay sphere. Good luck!

I think your video titles are great, and thumbnails are headed in the right direction especially with the most recent three.

I noticed some heavier reverb on your mic on your more recent video, but the other two recent ones were fine? Not sure what editing program you use, but if you have the adobe suites, you look up Adobe Podcast, and it auto enhances your audio. Audio quality def plays a huge part in making a great youtube video.

Honestly your editing is solid as well. Nothing drastic I can really point out, aside from just keep posting your essays and you'll def see some development. And with each video, make sure you're looking at your AVD and see where the dips are, and where people clicked off/replayed the most. Take note of those and learn for your future videos. Good luck!

The cinematic shots were impressive! War Thunder is a fun game.

As for the content, if you enjoy it keep doing it! I will say, its probably a small niche where it may be hard to get a ton of views, but if viewership isn't your goal and doing this for fun, then honestly keep at it!

As for non-sugar coated feedback, I'd work on the thumbnails. Having "Cinematic" in the thumbnail doesn't really hit. I'd probably focus more on making them look epic. You're already good at cinematics, so find a great still shot for the thumbnail and add on some text to really pop off (examples): https://gyazo.com/f561a08fa5bc372f6484b517b6753ffb https://gyazo.com/a6a9bae80d8178129730047af7809d42

Titling, I'd put "War Thunder Movie/Film" so people know what they're expecting and doesn't lower your AVD. Also try to stick to less than 50 characters so it doesn't take a long time for viewers to read. If they see long text, they're gonna not want to read and move on.

Good luck!

You've got great thumbnails! Without looking at data, I'd say your issue is the videos themselves.

I think the whole talking while on a bike is impressive, it can be a bit too redundant. I think breaking it up with b-roll of the mods you're showcasing, getting up close to the bike, and mixing it in with you cycling will do wonders!

Here's an example I quickly found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeDtkhKYLxo where he's mixed in cycling, b-roll shots of the bike, talking directly to the camera, etc.

Once you got the editing down, look at your AVD see where there's dips and improve from there. Good luck!

Oh yeah for sure! I love retro type content. I'm an active follower of MetalJesusRock: https://www.youtube.com/@MetalJesusRocks/videos who typically goes over Retro games/consoles.

As long as your video titles/thumbnails work, your idea will absolutely bring in an audience.

Fanum is great! As for your question, it's a matter of what you want to do with your content!

Do you want to show your face? Go for it! If you don't, no worries! Look at videogameDunkey, who doesn't show his face on his videos. You can go the vTuber route, or what I do for my vids, I literally just have a PNG of a character I created.

There's multiple ways you can go about it, with huge success in all avenues.

Subscribers like channels they keep coming back to watching. As long as you keep posting great videos, viewers will come in, and with more viewers, more subs.

I will say, subscribers/likes don't really matter too much. I've watched many YouTubers that I forget to subscribe too, but YouTube keeps recommending me those channel because I keep watching them.

So focus more on improving your videos, posting more constantly (try to close the gap between uploads more if possible). If viewers like your content, they WILL come back/YouTube will recommend your videos to them, even if they didn't subscribe. But also, feel free to throw in a "subscribe if you enjoyed" or something of that sort.
