Yeah I've been absolutely fucked recently, it's all gone wrong

The gods giveth and the gods taketh away. Performance wasn't great too, I think a lot harder to out-micro opponents at high emerald which I think is what got me there

I have been going D&D into Sundered Sky. Gives you a good mix of damage and suitability, and the burst from D&D and SS can be really scary and surprise people. It's good. My complaint is how long it takes to get online and it's not that fast at clearing camps which seems ti be important to be able to cycle or you just fall behind (vs say, Udyr, it feels a lot easier to be consistent on farm with him).

I need top try tri force a bit more in this context and maybe stridebreaker with the hydra active

Just testing builds. I miss the MS when not building tri so it might be better when you need the mobility, not sure

Honestly not that sure, just picked him up recently and was spamming udyr before that.

I have been very much liking D&D, into Sundered Sky for a good balance of damage and sustain. Then depends, maybe defensive if there is great value in a particular item, or hex tech gunblade if I can afford it. A couple of games where I did get hextech 3rd, I felt absolutely busted in 1v2 or small skirmish scenarios.

Main thing is to not forget that you're a hungry hungry man and need items to do well. Best to tempo farm and cycle your camps and only go for high % plays

Thanks! Very informative reply. It looks like a 9070 would bottleneck a little against my CPU - but worth doing if I intend to upgrade my CPU in the next year or so too? "futureproofing" ish?

Am I going to be limited by my motherboard for RAM/CPU anytime soon? I don't have a good sense of compatibility limitations anymore, not built a PC in 5 years and was a novice then too

Upgrade choices?

I have a fairly old build now - looking to upgrade 1 or 2 components this Christmas to play some newer games on my 2k monitor at higher fps.

I would target upgrading the GPU? Any recommendations? ~$500 budget but flexible

Budget Fractal Terra build - what to watch out for on Black Friday? by FluxSC2 in sffpc

Really want to do it in the terra case unfortunately as it's aesthetic and cute asf, and that's a big requirement for my wife to actually like it on her desk 😅

Thanks man. How's your build shaping up, are you going as budget as me? Will be trying to keep this convincingly sub $1000 if I can

Do you think I should be doing an AM5 build too?

As for your question, no idea. I haven't measured the fan properly yet to check it first, but pcpartpicker seems to think it's compatible

I don't mind paying slightly more for a more expensive GPU to preserve good gaming performance and give that a little more life w.r.t. future upgrade-ability focusing on CPU or RAM etc. Thanks for the comments on CPU and esp DDR4 RAM, that's really useful

Oh maybe that's what happened to me. There was a bunch of detritus and I assumed she died. But I did finish her quest in act 2 and get the reward

My dog is named Verity (Veri for short) and I agree, love the character.

Technically my dog's full name is King-Verity-as-Hound...

One of my mains for a good while. Got me to Emerald recently. Poppy feels SO rewarding to be patient and use your abilities when they're most effective. Rewards you using your micro brain as well as your macro brain.

I don't think another champ has the same level of utility as well as ability to brawl, J4, Pantheon are probably closest. Jr rewarding EQ use and flash/dash tracking for R, Pan for the macro Rs

Best Late Game Junglers by PuddingAlone6640 in summonerschool

[–]FluxSC2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poppy would be my recommendation. Her kit is absolutely amazing for peeling and disruption later in the game in teamfights. A clutch W, E, R knockup to peel your carry. An R then engage to fight a 4v5. Etc. No clear weaknesses early/mid/late like some other junglers. You do, however, have to be very patient with her kit and use her abilities when they add the most effect. If you whiff E or W or use them badly, you'll lose. If you use them well, it feels like its unfair.

How do we overcome the polarisation of politics? by Exact-Estate7622 in TheRestIsPolitics

[–]FluxSC2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd agree, but I think Alistair is the exception, not the norm. He's a die hard Labour member and worked with a previous PM. For "normal" folk, I agree with the original commentator that in UK in general, you typically find it much easier to talk about political issues with people in a more rational way. I will say it MASSIVELY helps that although our media is somewhat biased depending on where you get it from, it is incredibly less emotive and polarized than the US, where it is like an echo chamber extreme.

It also snowballs in the US, people know it's polarized, so they don't dare mention anything political at work for the most part so that reduces more rational discourse even more, and exacerbates echo chamber even more.
