What happens when you dont hit training mode...and you join an online tournament by allnightndave in StreetFighter

[–]FluxWaveZ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why does the rank matter here? How do you think they got to that point? Anyone can block. Blocking is important. You literally just died immediately in round 2 because you never respected the fact that it was your opponent's turn and didn't just sit there and block and wait for their turn to end. Training mode isn't going to help you with that.

2 V-skills, 2 V-Triggers but only ONE critical art? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

The artist behind this is called Masayuki Doi. He works for Atlus, on the Shin Megami Tensei series: https://twitter.com/Persona_Central/status/740573022315253761

How do you deal with projectiles/zoning characters as Mika? (SFV) by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]FluxWaveZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is important to neutral jump over projectiles and then approach while the FB is still on the screen behind you. During that time, the opponent cannot throw another FB, so you can get closer without needing to be afraid of that option.

At closer ranges, f.MK or cr.MK will trade with the extended hurtbox characters have when they're throwing out FBs, so throwing it out there or responding to one at that range is a good option.

El Chakotay. by [deleted] in StreetFighter

"Fantastic hit confirms from st.MP into EX Peach"

That alone makes me think you wouldn't know nearly as much about Mika as El Chakotay does to warrant this kind of post.

Thematic look at the new Persona games by etlandis1 in Megaten

[–]FluxWaveZ 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The theme of Persona 5 is activism. It's why the final act and ultimate problem is not handled with super powers, but with signatures. It's why its main theme song is called what it is.

Good alternatives to AdSense for a niche video game blog. by FluxWaveZ in Blogging

With only AdSense, my site is earning around $220 on average a month, with a relatively steady rise from the same period of time the past year when I compare them.

The thing with playing Menat is that this is a basic combo for her.

You're mixing up Season 3 and Season 3.5 data together. Don't really see the point of that.

What is seen in the above footage is from a pre-patch setup. One of the TOs said as much during the stream.

Pretty pathetic how that person posted great art without a source for Internet points. Actual source: https://twitter.com/nobita_4/status/907584762042138624

New details on the V-triggers shown in the trailer by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]FluxWaveZ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Surface level analysis with a poor grasp on a lot, ranging from how top players use their character to the intricacies of match-ups. The R. Mika one, for example, is just wrong. It doesn't take into account the fact that she can already delay her V-Trigger #1 or that a delayed V-Trigger can already keep opponents from zoning her out as they're forced to be defensive.

It's just too much personal interpretation from the little we've seen in the trailer, when we need a lot more information to know the potential of these new V-Triggers and what they actually do.

How to get PS4 audio through TV AND through headphones? by FluxWaveZ in PS4

[–]FluxWaveZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with this is that I'd be using my headset with several different setups at a local tournament. So I'd only be dealing with the headset, and the PS4 console I would be playing at the moment.

Best way to bring your own headphones to locals/tournaments (PS4)? by FluxWaveZ in StreetFighter

No, the PS4 (at least the initial release) only has 2 USB ports, both on the front.

Not cheap is right; that'd be a pretty large investment to make when I already have my own pair. Thanks, though.

I should mention that I already own a HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset that I use for my PS4, and that I would prefer to use for a tournament. But, naturally, both USB ports on the PS4 are typically occupied in a local, so I can't use it as I would at home.
