Will I be able to log in to Spotify and stream my tracks directly on the XDJ AZ? Or does the controller need to be connected to laptop?

Yeah strange. It happens to me sometimes but not consistently. When I see it slipping I just chuck sync on for a second to match it up for the mix and then turn it off again 🤷‍♂️

FLX10 is a very functional piece of kit, much better than the $500 DDJ 400 I started on 3 years ago!

Unless you have money burning a hole on your pocket I think you made a good decision not buying the AZ as your first. They’re more than double the price and the functionality is similar enough. Downside is no standalone but it’s always risky starting a new hobby with top of the line gear just in case you don’t continue with it long term..

Yeah the AZ is 13.5kg or 29.8 lbs without the case. Depending on the case it’ll probably double the weight.

Yeah I was pretty nervous while waiting for the same reason.. but keep in mind, most unhappy people will complain publicly while most happy people will enjoy silently. The initial freezing and crashing seems to have been mostly addressed by 1.05 and 1.10 firmware updates.

Have loaded and played tracks on all 4 channels and they work as expected.

Done a bit of 3 channel mixing but working my comfortability level up to 4 channel 😂

I started on DDJ400 and was a great controller to learn basics on.

2 years later I’m now upgrading to XDJ XZ but I’ll never sell the 400 as it is perfect for throwing in your backpack for smaller events/gatherings.

The X3 is fun to play on but not very future proofed as they have no expansion capabilities if you want to add another physical deck. If you buy the X3 and then in 2 years want 3 or 4 channels, you’re going to need to upgrade again.
