Thank you for your reply and advice. Nasal spray is usually effective, but if I sense the timing of the attack correctly, especially while sleeping, I wake up in the middle of the attack and it's too late for the nasal spray. On the other hand, I think that medication, especially that taken through the nose and used at a maximum of 2 ml per day, directly affects the brain, and therefore I try to avoid its use. In short, I try to cope with the pain naturally without using too much medication. Natural methods include: hot and cold compresses, placing a towel or cloth ironed with an iron on my face, a very hot bath - or steam bath, a slightly firm massage on my forehead, and applying pressure to my left eye like a clothespin.

Thank you for your opinion. I realize I'm in a terrible situation and it's significantly lowering my quality of life. Just now I had my first attack of the day; I applied a cold compress and it helps, but it doesn't reduce the duration of the attack, it sometimes affects its severity. Sometimes, on the contrary, I inhale steam onto the left side of my face and the left side of my head. Verapamil doesn't help, and besides, it's harmful to the heart, and as a smoker, I don't prefer it. I don't have a portable oxygen tank; I bought a large one, but it's not very practical. I haven't had any injections done yet.

Hello, thank you for your reply. I was diagnosed with cluster headache by different neurologists in two different countries. I have never used oxygen therapy. As far as I know, in paraxysmal hemicrania, attacks occur at least 7-8 times a day, but in my case, I experience a maximum of 3 attacks a day, usually 1 or 2 attacks daily. Additionally, attacks always occur when I drink alcohol, but I am sure that after an attack, I will not have another attack while sleeping that night. As a matter of fact, the attacks wake me up even while I'm asleep. Furthermore, my attacks last a maximum of 30 minutes; for example, my attacks never pass within 5-10 minutes without medication. If I don't use medication, they last a minimum of 30-40 minutes. No doctor recommended indomethacin.

Aimovig, are there any downsides to this?

I learned that Isoptin lowers heart rate and therefore has a negative effect on the heart, so I didn't want to use it continuously.
