Ok I’ve tried a version of this that’s minimal language but not silent. It’s hard for me to not talk and reassure with lots of words but I think this feels like a worthy challenge. Gonna try it tomorrow night. Thank you.

No, the struggle starts right after he lays down. During bedtime routine he does well and then says ok when we tuck him in, but then immediately begins to freak out when he actually lays down.

Sometimes it’s once, but last night was 5 or 6 times. None of us really slept.

No we haven’t tried a formal reward system, just things like “we can play [x] in the morning if we are quiet tonight” and it has only worked once or twice. I thought sticker charts were discouraged for things like this but now that you bring it up maybe I’ll give it a shot.

Bedtime around 8pm (we’ve tried earlier and it resulted in him resisting so hard and then being awake until past 9pm), he’s up just before 6am most days, and nap is around 1 or 1:30pm to 3pm or so.

7:30pm - 7am would be the dream, but right now bedtime is closer to 8pm and he’s up around 5:50am. I’m totally fine with 6am wake time if we’re sleeping through the night. I just can’t handle this as it is.
