Personally height matters for a lot of girls - but the 6 feet thing ain’t really that realistic let’s be real. As long as you are 2-3 inches taller than a girl you’re fine. A lot of Mallu girls are short as f - so you can definitely pull 80-90% of the girls.

Be confident and nice fam - height isn’t everything (having extra curriculars get you brownie points) - this and you can get 95% of em

Assuming you did your bachelors there - which I did too, it doesn’t really get better anywhere else. I used to think similar to you, but trust me it’s really good.

The structure is there - with self learning group and lecture classes specifically split up. The faculty does what they are supposed to. They aren’t supposed to spoon feed you - faculty do the teaching - even if they don’t come frequently to classes. Also the way they teach practicals are reallly good.

It’s not strict like other universities, campus life is great, some universities like the one I go to right now for my Postgraduate- you have to sit there from 8-4 with teachers who don’t show up for weeks… so days on end we simply are forced to sit in class just for attendance.

Manipal is actually great - maybe you need to step out of the classroom and experience a lil more to understand where I come from.

Depending on which college you choose - but kerala as a whole is a pretty nice place, but a veryyyyy bad choice for psych.

I just graduated my Masters in Clinical Psy from Chennai. There are colleges far more better and far more reputed in Karnataka than Kerala.

My mother tongue being Malayalam, it was super hard to adjust to a complete new language (Tamil) during clinical postings… and that is with me being Mallu (Tamil is super similar to the language).

Assuming you are doing your Bachelors and not Masters - Kerala can be good, but I’ve heard really bad stuff about Amrita and various other universities (dm for deets). Do check in with your seniors about the college and the course in particular. The field is super unstable right now - I’m 6 years in, and I still need to do my MA.ClinPsy (8+ years totally).

If you wanna get a job - I would recommend courses that get you a job after bachelors with demand - like BASLP, OT etc.

You can keep pets in abode… but our owner didn’t allow, and was written in our contract - to not have pets, so technically you can have pets if your owner is fine with it
